Such a great reaction. By far my favorite Nothing More song, I've heard it dozens of times. No matter what it brings tears to my eyes. My boy is 5 now and have a 14 year old girl. Story and message are amazing.

My father was a very complicated person. Angry, hateful, lashed out a lot. He was a product of how he was raised and he tried really hard to be a good dad. After Mom died three years ago he got much worse and yes, we ignored his calls. Then one day he didn’t answer our calls which never happened. My brother found him dead on the living room floor when he went to check on him. This song packs multiple punched and I’d gut wrenching and raw. Dad hasn’t even been gone 6 months and boy, this song with the video pulls it out ya

I first heard this song a few months before I found out I was going to be a dad and it was tugging at the heartstrings then. Forgot about it for a bit and re-discovered it, as well as the video, when my son was a couple months old. It was absolutely brutal.

The reason the dad didn't answer, was because if you go back and watch, his dad was in a hospital room and the dad didn't want to tell him he had a heart condition

his dad wasnt in a hospital room. he was in his bedroom looking out his window you can notice his bed on the right side when he is sitting on the window seal. the story of the vid is just that stuff can happen to your loved ones at any time so its best to reconcile with them than be estranged from them for any reason.

I have a similar story to you. My dad came home one day and I was sitting on my ass and he said something to me, I don't remember what it was, but it lead to a huge fight. I left before it had a chance to get physical and lived in my car for a month before I had somewhere else to stay. We didn't talk for almost 2 years when I asked him if I could move back in so I could get out of the drug house I was staying in.
