Fascinating stuff. I’ve learnt a number of tricks that I hope to use in my scratch-build modelling.

Another beautifully presented piece David, thank you. Beyond my arthritic-fingered skills but a joy to watch Can't wait for the final "reveal" Cheers

Hi David, Great video and fantastic attention to detail, It looks really good! I did notice about half way through the video your camera started making noises everytime it tried to focus, Hopefully nothing too major? Cheers, Michael

wow you scratch built that, not something I would try yet in my modeling career. I have a hard enough time painting a crane to fit my layout, I did do one paint job up but gave it to a friend, since he models CN and I am more Conrail, great job, wow is all I can say
@davidhyde43297 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks again. Not entirely a scratch build, more what we call a 'kit-bash'. The crane was updated from an elderly plastic kit and the runner wagon from a converted RTR bogie wagon. None the less there was a lot of new detail to scratch build and add. I have Part 4 in the pipeline, I am going to add a Mess Van converted from an old Guards Van ... David

Excellent descriptions and details which has inspired me to add some detail to some of my buildings, I particularly looked the raised rivets. Having checked on line I can only find them from an American company called Micro Mark.Is this where you get them from or is there somewhere else?Thanks
@davidhyde43298 жыл бұрын
Apologies Bob for the delay. I picked them up at 'Bouys Toys & Models' in Cromer. I did a search on ebay and nothing came up. Rivets, in various sizes on a single A4 thin plastic sheet. Phone number for "Bouys Toys & Models" (great shop) is 01263 519652. Hope this Helps. ... David
