I was raised in a household where we were forbidden to pee standing up. Why? Because my mom knew that we'd just get piss everywhere. As a result, I have no trouble sitting down on the toilet. Men, there's nothing to be afraid of. You're only pressing your buttocks against a plastic rim that has seen thousands of other buttocks, and finds nothing attractive about yours.

LOL...High heels, bound feet, corsets, were all for the male aesthetic and to help restrict women. Men have nothing to do with what women wear or think is fashionable? Just from a modern perspective, I'm sure de Givenchy, Lagerfeld, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Yves St Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Pierre Cardin, Armani, Versace just to name a tiny number would beg to differ.

+Toady Ehh...no. My ex kept on pointing at (ridiculously expensive) items going; 'Oh that'll look good on you." And I, stupid doormat, kept on agreeing and often (co)-buying it all, to "keep him interested." There was competition online, if I didn't look good enough, there were websites enough for him, not to mention, some exes. After 4,5 years, he dumped me and later, while I packed my things, he demanded half of my clothing-items. Many dresses and shirts and bra's were specificly bought "for him" and he said he couldn't bare to think about me wearing them for someone else. He also claimed to have paid for several and so, he nééded those skirts/socks/dresses to *stay.* Ignoring the fact that I also paid for them and the fact that they were bought for me. But I just wanted to leave, so I left it there (including some other, more valuable things like handmade paintings etc.) and then at home, I realised that his future girlfriend will be wearing the clothes. I had been offered a piece of clothing of an ex before. I won't go into detail. Honestly, I'm just happy I'm out of there.

Remember - it's just comedy. It's not fact. Dara's just being what he thinks is PC (which happens to suit his BBC paymasters - aren't all men illogical lie). Lingerie was invented by women - it freed them from corsets. If we follow the 'let's not be theatrical' thread of Dara's idea, then we probably wouldn't have had ANY architectural advancement. The built environment is itself partly a reflection of ambitious , inventive , romantic , imaginative men. All those spires and art deco. Why would they want to be dull in the bedroom? Sadly, Dara's apologetic self seems all to real to him - why not just privately apologise for bearing your Megabus self down on your partners? And leave romance to the romantic.
