It really sucks that she had to act like that because not only did it cost him the fucking match but he was also fined. She seemed to be trying really hard to get that workers compensation I guess. I swear to God, sometimes I feel like the kid in the The Emperor's New Clothes, wondering why I'm the only one in the world who can see what is plain as day in front of all of us. Of course this woman was seriously injured, and no, I'm not joking. Something violent and unexpected happens to her left. Startled, she instinctively flinches from that, twisting her body away from it, to her right--but her weight was on her right foot, which is planted in the ground. Her right foot remains motionless, her whole body twists, and something in her right knee gives. She's old and out of shape, it doesn't take much twisting to take her down. But we live in an age where helpful narrators tell us what is happening in the videos we watch, and when we're left without that guidance, we're powerless to interpret what we see is happening right before our eyes.

It appears that she was spooked by the loud sound of the racket hitting the tarp, as she goes to clutch her heart even before the racket hits her. Then the racket rebound-hit her a little as well. You can hear someone about 3.5 minutes in mentioning this sound. I don't know if she might've pulled a muscle or something in her knee as a result as well. This racket throwing stuff has got to stop in tennis, and pros doing it on TV should also stop, to not set a bad example for up-and-comers. It's a ridiculous way to vent anger and it should be penalized. Even breaking rackets, also ridiculous. I'd rather give the racket away to a fan. In tennis this is a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct and it's automatically punished in tennis with disqualification from the tournament.
