Funny story, we didn’t know about the secondary dash storage on my moms old mini and I was playing and generally being a crack head 12yr old. My mom slammed on the brakes to mess w/ me and I slapped the dash and that opened and we both froze thinking I broke her car. I slowly pushed it back in and then opened it again all while neither of us said a word and we’re staring at it like a couple of Neanderthals seeing fire for the first time. Then we both started laughing when we realized it was a secret cubby.

These are some cool features. I really like that keychain you have on the fob. Also the lock thing with the windows works with the top of the convertible models. I guess that they just used the same idea with both.

Don’t suggest running the car without the key too often -the key is self charging by having it in the ignition while the car is running. The battery cannot be changed. The key eventually needs to be replaced as it will not hold a charge after about 10 years.

Hey group. Great vid Diego, been in a 2014 F55 Clubman (45k) for the past couple of weeks and whoa. I also own a kosmik Rotax Jr. Max and in sport mode the Mini is so close (minus the Ackerman angle of course) to the Kart it really is unbelievably enjoyable. Thank you! Tbh though to make a whole video would be kinda tough idk if it’s worth it I will say this. If you remove the front bumper all you need to do it pop out the lower grille cut the middle out with a saw, sand down the brake ducts so it’s smooth and even then spray them black or whatever color you choose. You can even remove the lower grille while the bumper is on the car but it’s a little tricky

@@Uberick21 Yeah, I have "Disco Mode" on my 2012 Countryman, but not on my 2008 Cooper S or 2010 Camden S. This feature must have first been released in 2011 based on the fact that you have it on your 2011 and I have it on my 2012, but neither of us have it on our 2010.

They’re Spec D tuning chrome housing f56 style headlights. They only work though for halogen headlights only. If you have the oem hids they wont work

Okay my Mini is 2011 and I don't have to put my key fob in the "ignition" at all in order to start it. Fob simply has to be in the car. I even had the fob in a box in the back of the car and it started fine. Is this because mine is a newer model or is that a setting?

You have a option called “comfort access” which allows you to. Means you have a higher end r56 model than I do haha.. that feature shown in this video is for no comfort access

@@DArias On the down side I do not seem to have that hidden glove box that is in yours. You seem to be more mechanically inclined than I am so I have a question. Very often when I am going up a bit of a steep hill and don't downshift or don't downshift enough a check engine light will come on. Does not effect performance and light goes out after restarting car and then revving the engine a little while car is moving. Is more of an annoyance and wonder if you are familiar with this. Just seems to happen if I "lug" or under rev the engine.

Update: It WORKS! the nuance with mine is that i had to first start my engine with the key in, and then i can turn off the car, remove the key and start the engine again without the keyfob in the slot. Hope that helps for everyone and thanks for this tip Diego!!
