Looking at the game, while the Zao was a bit of a potato and the Republique could have done better, you actually also had three teammates who were at least decent: - The Montana, while he maybe tried to push a bit too hard in the early game, did end up dealing a lot of damage and did survive in the end. - The Schlieffen scored a High Caliber and, together with the Montana, actually gave you effective fire support on your flank. - The Puerto Rico, while not securing A in the end, was at least communicative and did smash the Nevsky.

Well, the good thing is that it creates low expectations when people see a Zaou in ranked. It made, in a way, ranking out with Zaou far easier for me. Some players seem to forget these 203mm guns can very well pump a broadside cruiser's citadel full of AP, or that a HE salvo can easily deal 10k, or the existence of many 12km torpedoes, or that I can bouce that BS Petro AP on my sides with proper angling. However it makes some teamates blame you for all the misery in the world somehow. I remember a Slava giving me shit because "ReAlLy Zao In RanKeD?". Guess who was the 45% WR potato that died in 5 minutes, letting his CA carry his ass through another rank? But yes, I rarely see Zaou and Yoshino performing well. I can't make Yoshino work well myself...

Yoshino either deleted if little bit push or play in A/J line, no contribution at all. I once in rank met same yoshino player in my team, 3 times in row, and lose then he always ended bottom meanwhile i ended top or second top. In third game i said "we gonna lose, this yoshino player suck and yoshino herself, just dont care about the game" and he seems trash talking me with hidden chat (i knew it coz someone kind enough to translated to me). end of story we lose and he got bottom Next game, this yoshino player in enemy team with the translator. I said to the enemy you gonna lose and im gonna win the game, then after he spotted he got deleted by my team yamato then i mock him "use yoshino and lose everytime", the translator just laughing all time and he doesnt care about the game anymore but ended top. The last advice i gave to him is "Please dont use Yoshino" and we won the game then never met him anymore I use Harugumo and in silver rank, SEA server. btw i never use Yoshino in rank coz i know it will be suck

Zao works okay for me in randoms while Yoshino works for me great in ranked. 60% WR in Yoshino (ranked) and I'm almost always in top 3 in the scoreboard. Having less players in the match makes it comfortable to play the Yoshi.

@@sameerkharade7750 I suppose it's down to the players and their playstyle. I manage a 65% in Zaou (my average ranked WR overall), but only 52% in Yoshino. I guess I play the ship wrong.

Due to players like this Zao we proposed few time a change - you do not always gain a star on a win, but you do not always lose a star on a loss. Basically redistribute it base on bxp in a way that if 1st losing gets more bxp than 6th on winning, he saves a star and that carried one doesn´t earn one. Same for 2nd on the losing team and 5th on winning. You just grant a right to earn/not lose a star to player count equal on one team (maybe +1 for star saving) to 6 most usefull players in the battle - after the *1,5 modificator for win of course. Someone can remind WG of this on forum/stream. I have been naughty and cannot write on neither of those places, cause WG fuckups called too loud :D

Fully agree. Daring is the strongest and best DD for 99% of players out there. Smaland and Kléber are really good but for the average potato player, they're a massive liability for the team.

it's not just that, it also helps him by 'triangulating' the enemy positions, the best example was in another of his shima videos, it's hard to explain for me with just words but it was about how he used it with the different distance of an enemy spotted ship and another that wasn't.
