You'll see it more as the series progresses, the casting is incredible. The casting director deserves an award.

The great thing about this show is that it's NOT a 'Whodunnit'. (Though I have seen some reactors still taking that outlook into series 3) The show isn't asking you to figure anything out for yourself, all it asks is for you to keep up with its characters (whatever age) and what year it is. The perfect casting helps with the characters and the different years are well aided by the set changes and props.

Dont worry Blake, you’ll understand and it’s totally normal to be … in the dark now. This show will is a mindfuck yet everything makes sense in the end.

The problem is that the more you see, the more you are in the dark, more things to understand that are not clear

This show isn't like a Hollywood show that tries to explain everything right away. A big part of it will be having more questions as the show progresses but if you stick with it, it's really satisfying. I hope that despite confusion, you all still participate in discussing it because it's part of the fun.
@SubKween11 күн бұрын
You'll likely still have questions right up until the end. But the finale really does wrap things up so well. This show overall is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

If Mikkel had gone back in time with his wallet, he wouldn't be able to buy anything because in 1986 there was still the German currency (Deutsche Mark/DM), before the Euro. :-)
@jaijais11 күн бұрын
the pre-show enumeration on questions you “still need answers to” is so funny because you’re literally on the second episode 😅 there will be lots of questions but this is also a really tightly written show so you’ll have your answers! hope y’all enjoy the wild ride in the meantime :)

Nuclear power plants are incredibly secure, state-of-the-art, and highly classified for a very good reason. It would probably be pretty easy to get a judge to block a warrant, local cops are way down the food chain.

This is another "this was made for German viewers to understand but it will fly over non-German viewers head" comment: The coin that was around the dead body's neck was a Pfennig - the equivalent of a cent coin from Germanys old Currency "Deutsche Mark". At January 1st 2002 the Deutsche Mark got replaced by its current currency, the Euro. Just another little detail towards the "smth doesnt add up with this corpse and our time" puzzle

There is a website (don’t know the name but other reactors have used it) that shows who the characters are per episode so as to not to spoil identities before revelations. However, I think it might be a handy tool to keep track of all the characters and there names
@michaelklaus9 күн бұрын
That would be dark netflix io; tried to let the algorithm not know what this is because it tends to delete this sort of comment; people should notice that they need to always enter the episode they finished and never the one they are currently on; that should be obvious but for years people who claimed that the site contained many spoilers turned out to do that wrong

The single biggest mystery isn't what happened to Woller's eye. It's when it happens. 😋 Anyway. Great video. But once again, though, I didn't get any notification from KZbin. Typical KZbin. Oh.... rewatch the scenes with Regina at the check-in desk in episode one and this episode. Some very interesting details behind the counter. 😉

if your hooked but the bait is missing, you need a bit more patience, this is a slowburn, ep. 5 starts taking of, ep 8 gives you a closer idea on how this series works

I would recommend making family tree charts along the way to keep up with names and relations. But dont look up "Dark family trees" these would give so much spoilers.

4:30 I had recurring ringing sounds since my teenage days and was always annoyed when people kept talking down headphones. I basically didn't use any headphones between the 90s and 2020 because I couldn't get used to the feeling. Whenever I tried, I stopped using them in the first five minutes. (Only when I worked from home during the pandemic I tried out many different headphones till I found a pair I could bear). My doctors assume that it is stress induced, but that I only ever notice it when I am not stressed...

The first few episodes you can kind of look at as scaffolding. The show is focusing on building a foundation of characters, setting, events and relevant development of those right now. Its going to drip-feed stuff to you a bit, but there is plenty to notice and theorize about still. Be patient with it during this early part, and you will be well rewarded, because its doing this so that it can go full throttle a bit further in, without having to spend time laying groundwork for things its going to be doing from a plot, character and event standpoint. You are going to regularly get more questions, but it will also satisfying you with answers regularly along the way. Thank you guys again for watching this. I know its not a big viewership show on youtube, but its one of the highest quality shows I've seen from a structural and cinematic development standpoint. I am enjoying these greatly, and please do not hesitate to chat, theorize, speculate, the journey is a big part of the fun and appeal with this show and trust me nothing you say or think will sound silly or stupid, this show gets crazy and us Dark fans have thought and heard everything before, ourselves and form reactors. So don't be self conscious or hesitant!

I hope with discussion amongst the rest of the guys Blake will be less lost. Because if he's confused in season one, he's going to be out of his depth in season two and especially three. 1:43
@suddenimpulse03011 күн бұрын
I have confidence he will be just fine. He pays attention and is focused, the show tells you the truly important things you need to know, and the rest, theres plenty to gather from just watching, listening, and also from their discussions. I know your comment is very well intended I just wanted to give my own two cents because I don't want Blake to get concerned/stressed about it if he sees a few comments like this. =)
