I actually recommend also using charcoal/coal for the ink one may not everyone have it but there,s still a chance to buy it or set a fire from woods and do it with charcoal :)

Purple Heart is definitely one of my favorite plants to use for projects! There is a really nice amount of dye inside and it grows quite quickly!

Could I recommend something you should redo the quill pen by getting feathers again wild ones and then getting some sand it up in your oven and while you’re heating up the sand put your in some water cold water and then stick the quill into the hot sand and it will cure it to make it hard enough to write with 😊 and you also don’t wanna cut the quill you wanna crack the quill by just adding a little bit pressure to the nib and you don’t want it to separate😊
I recommend hibiscus flowers for the ink because they are very pigmented

All the diys are lovely, and perfect for people who want to transform their room on a budget. I do have a couple suggestions to really bring out the aesthetic: Pressed flowers, A LOT of them Little potion bottles with labels. Candles can really bring out the aesthetic. They also make me feel comfortable, I’m not sure about anyone else :) I have old chess pieces on shelves, I feel it really works to bring out the authentic look That’s all i got. Have a wonderful day luvs.

hello, i love your channel and it has made my room look great, but since i am i minor and my parents own my room they say i cant paint it or anything, and i am finding it hard to decorate cottage core with my room being so white, it looks to modern plz help!
@jordanmariec3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure all that you are and aren't allowed to do but if using painters tape is allowed then I would recommend using real or fake vines! You can hang them on shelves, tape them across walls, drape over furniture etc! Another thing that's great are full wall collages! You can do big poster pieces of paper to fill up more space but still cover that white paint!! Really though if your furniture and decor pieces are all cottagecore it can usually out way a white paint job!

These are awesome ideas! I would really like to make the organizer and the quill :D Would regular store-bought ink be better to use while writing with the quill?
@jordanmariec3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Nevena! I'm sure a store bought ink would work better but a factory manufactured quill would probably be better by average standards as well. The percentage of "DIY" and "bought" supplies that you use, is all up to you!

Does the DIY ink you showed mold at any point, or does the vinegar and salt prevent that? Thanks!
@jordanmariec3 жыл бұрын
It won't last forever but the vinegar and salt definitely help to prevent it for a while! I would give it a week or two. I would routinely check the bottle just to be safe though!

Love your voice, your imagination, the background music and your no-nonsense videos. But am I the only one freaking out about you using mud for staining paper? Bacteria grows in soil, nasty things like tetanus, anthrax, and botulism, soil bacteria may cause gastrointestinal, wound, skin, and respiratory tract diseases and even potting soil commonly has the bacteria that causes Legionnaire's disease and if it's on the book pages, this stuff can get on your hands. I'd stick with tea or coffee to dye paper. Leave the mud alone.

Nobody who moons over Dark Academia has ever attempted a STEM degree. Many a time I looked up bleary-eyed from my differential equations at 2 AM in the basement of my uni engineering building and thought "Dark Academia is so awesome"... NOT.
