This tiny lift helps provides easier barrier free access between the JJA Restaurant on the second and the St Regis Bar on the first. THAT door hold button makes it obvious that this lift is meant for wheelchair users.
A part of the capacity badge is smudged off but I presume that this lift has a load capacity of 450KG / 6 Persons. This capacity variant of the Fujitec Rexia comes standard with 2 speed telescopic doors.
It seems that all of the guest accessible lifts here are fresh replacements of older Fujitecs. Only the three, staff only service lifts are older/original as I could hear the beeps of its door sensors as well as the older up-down down-up Fujitec chime. A quick sneak peak on Level B1 also reveals that the service lifts have 2 speed telescopic doors and circular Fujitec lanterns that comes standard with the Fujitec Rexia/Zexia. They are probably modernised Fujitec AC-GLs with a mod package.
I am not sure if the 2002 flooding of this building ( Known as the Regent Hotel, 2002) made any alterations to the original state of all the lifts here. It is possible that all the lifts here were replaced when it opened up again on August 2003. But it is certain that all the customer lifts were replaced again when the building was bought by the Rajawali Group and then converted into its current state as the St Regis Jakarta.
I was approached by the Loss Prevention Dept (Security) after filming this lift. To any other lift (elevator) enthusiasts, film at your own risk.
