Jessica Alba was so good in this, she was my dream girl. The story was gripping too. Such a shame they only made 2 seasons (and the second one wasn't very good either storywise). When I was a kid I watched this every wednesday at like 11pm even though my parents told me not to, and had a hard time getting up for school the next day! LOL good times

i was 19 or 21 when it came out a lot of it is like capt and buffy with out the vamps capt becues of the super army like stuff and buffy coes of the cov part the drugs or what ever was put in to max that made her strong and fast littl bit of wepen x in the story

It's so funny that great shows like Dark Angel and Firefly get cancelled, but we get 8 years of rubbish like HIMYM.

Sadly, Dark Angel got cancelled due in part to Firefly. Even if not for Firely supplanting Dark Angel, the series would have died anyway. The show got moved to a time slot of death from Tuesdays (prime time) to Friday nights, and lost viewership in droves. Season 1 had some great episodes but gave away too much of the Plot way too soon. Season 2 was less about Max than introducing of new cast members, imop. They also lost the talented actor Joh Savage ( Donald Lydecker). Jessica Alba was none too happy with this and the writing and the scripts of season 2. James Cameron intervened too, too late, and even personally filmed the last episode. The bottom line is Fox execs didn't like the expenses and constant cost overruns of filming and production - a Cameron characteristic - so decided to give the lower budget Firefly the green light. I wish Cameron would've made a Dark Angel movie instead of Avatar.

I use to watch this on channel 5 on saturdays at 7pm. I loved this show. Hated it got cancel. I actually didn't know it got cancelled until a best friend told me. I started watching it after it finished so I had no idea. I didn't really check on the internet back then because I assumed they would show it back on TV after the season finished. Usually in UK the shows use to released on UK TV weeks or months after the season finished in US that was back in those days. Now TV shows are being released after like two days after an episode released in US.

@@mojok7070 You're in good company. The crew didn't know it was cancelled either, because it was actually renewed and then TPTB changed their minds at the last minute. Jessica Alba was on her way to fly to film the third season when she got the call. And then Firefly (which was also brilliant) was cancelled before its first season finished filming, anyway. .

Love this show. My second favorite TV Show of all time. Dark Angel was cut short, when it had so much to offer from a storytelling standpoint. Whenever I hear this theme, it immediately takes me back, to a time when I watched this show religiously. TERRANCE OUT

Who else listen to this theme when they ride their bicycle?I loved this theme. I was so shocked it got cancelled. Max was one of those true badass women on TV who kicked ass. I always wanted to be like her. Love Jessica Alba as well she was so great in this show it's a shame Hollywood never took her seriously. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Dark Angel at a young age.

Personally I love this show and its my all time favorite. But ill be honest all the other works I've seen Jessica Alba do never really impressed me. Fantastic 4, Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer, Awake & Honey. I just didn't feel like she really had a wide acting range. For me she peaked at Dark Angel. She was really good at playing the bad ass / kick ass rough around the edges Max Guevera it was like she was made for the role. But all the other roles she played she just didn't really feel like another character to me. It felt like she was channeling part of Max personality onto those characters.

I've always really liked the end credits theme to this show. The opening credit music sucks like a Hoover on steroids, but this is really good. Show was great too, or at least the first season was. Second season suffered badly from being turned into a "monster of the week" show, but the first season was really good. Jessica Alba was simply breathtaking as well, and I thought she did a great job with the character.

Dark Angel and Freaky Links 2 of my favorite series. I remember when DA was being advertised in 2000 i couldnt wait for it to air. Watched every episode when it released. Then i couldnt wait for season 2 but i wasnt seeing any release dates on it but i was also working when it was on. I missed all but 1 episode of Season 2, the season finale....i was ticked. Thankfully not too long after both season came out on dvd and i snatched them up. I am watching it again, we have been having stormy weather and whennits rainy out i feel like watching DA i dont know why....cant wait to start on Season 2 and see Joshua again ❤❤❤❤
