His Lordship, Lord James Wellington III here. 🧐This is beautiful. I believe I saw the Creature of the Loch, " The Loch Ness Monster " only Earlier this week. And wot better way to Celebrate than perhaps a Scottish tune. This one seems to carry on the water ways. Wot better way, than to show " The Monster " that Bagpipes Exist as well.

I love the pipes, however, I know NOTHING about them. Why is there a low note constantly sounding thru out the song? And I don't mean just your pipes, but every bagpipe I have ever heard. Please enlighten me as I feel really silly for asking, I am however, really curious about this, and have asked music teachers the question with no answers.

Frances Lambert hello Frances, the backdrop sound is coming from the three drones that hold a common note in the background. Mine has two tenors and a Bass drone. This is the normal Scottish Highland Bagpipe. It’s my personal favorite part of the Bagpipe. Gives it an organ sound... but it stays sustained throughout the tune. It’s three separate drone reeds sounding. Then the notation happens on the fourth bit called the Chanter. I hope that answers your question! Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be more than happy to answer them.
