Even though she didn't manage to do any damage to Dark Link, I greatly appreciate that Zelda isn't portrayed as defenseless. Even after receiving a blow to the wrist and impacting right between her shoulder blades she gets back up with determination in her eyes. That flurry of blows is excellent, especially the facial expressions and stancing as she adjusts her approach between attacks.

I really like this because it gives this solid showing of how powerful Link actually is. People forget it under the goofy and quiet personality, but Link can carry boulders bigger than houses with a little bit of aid, stop a giant rock man with his bare hands if given a bit of extra weight to ground his steps, and with the aid of Zelda defeats a man who literally killed a god (the Great Deku Tree is a deity, as is Lord Jabu Jabu) and breaks the prisons of gods. Link is an _enormously_ powerful character that, with aid, defeats what literal gods cannot. He takes blows that would smear normal people across the road, and kills entire conquering armies. To Link, the average person is nothing physically, and Zelda while much more adept at magic and strategy than Link has never been a martial match for Link. It shows how this character just commands the field and most fighting is child's play to him. It never shows because his personality doesn't let him see it that way, but change that a little bit and you have a monster.

Link is powerful himself as well, but Ganondorf is actually far more dangerous if taken in isolation than Link is in isolation, without others to help Link Ganondorf becomes literally impossible for Link to overcome in each of Ganondorf's appearances. Ganondorf is also obsessed with the idea of power and power politics, he embodies it and pursues it. Further, Link is almost worthless in magic compared to the sages or Zelda, so Link is pretty one dimensional in his overall powers compared to Ganondorf who matches and sometimes surpasses at the top. Remember that in Wind Waker for example Link could not actually even strike Ganondorf without assistance from Zelda. Link is the second most powerful combatant character after Ganondorf himself in Zelda though.

I'm sure this will happen in the sequel, after falling off the cliff Zelda finds the Master Sword and tries to use it to get out of the caves, Ganondorf creates a dark version of Link (just like AoC Hollow Link) and sends him to capture the princess, they both meet face to face and have this confrontation

Theoretically anybody can use the master sword as a sword after it has been removed from its pedestal but only link can use it how it was intended.

well no. the great deku tree himself states that only those chosen can wield the sword. when link first encounters the sword he was not worthy to wield it and nearly died. so i think if zelda or others tried to do the same it will drain their life force to kill them as they are not worthy. and even if someone CAN wield the sword only the chosen hero can use it to its fullest. to the average person it would only be a normal blade when used in combat.

I like to think that Dark Link is like the Jungian shadow of Link, everything Link represses about himself and in a cruel twist of irony that means Dark Link embodies Link's love for Zelda or more specifically his fear of anything bad happening to her meaning he's the part of Link that would, if the situation called for it, do terrible things for her. Here he has a dilemma he can't attack her but he's not just going to passively take a beating, he's the part of Link that enjoys fighting, the part that's proud and cruel. After being thrown to the ground Zelda realizes just how much he's holding back.

I'm glad I discovered an animation like this. This gives me heavy callbacks to Ark System animations with games like Guilty Gear. I first saw this animation as an 3D animated piece. But I began to see it as a 2D animation similar to the Ark games. I'm soooooooo sosososososo happy about looking at this and just- ... I don't know I- *cough* ugh... god I'm sorry about sounding such a nerd about but... it's just who I am, ok? Anyways... the frames. Hoo boy. Okay, so, I'm just gonna rip the quote: "Computers can perfect things with animation giving it a more real feel to it. You can make something and just make the computer use the key points of the animation and tell it to but an in between those key frames. Making it look realistic." Well not word for word, but you probably get the point. This animation using just those key frames brings me such joy. The expressions? GORGEOUS. I especially love the face at the end where she gets up. It really feels like an anime. But this is all 3D, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'M SO SORRY FOR DRAGGING THIS OUT IM JUST SLOW MINDED ;-; Uh have a good day. Just wanted to... express my feelings.

I am amazed at how 3D animation is now able of emulating 2D animation to near perfection. The choreography is also so good, it perfectly shows Zelda's struggle to even make Dark Link flinch while making each move Dark Link makes have this power and weight to it. As someone who wants to learn animation and art, seeing other's art like this inspires me to become the best i can be.
