That dark magician deck looks a lot of fun to play w/ and against w/. My dark magician deck uses gagaga as xyz support which is cool to see dark magician and gagaga working together. Keep up the good work man.

+Alex Hoover yes i do have magi magi in real life (japanese of course), and the deck in real life as well. And yes it's a lot of fun to use. I will upload my Dark Magician/Gagaga deck sometime in the future because I'm testing all kind of cards in my deck as of right now. Most likely I will upload my dark magician/gagaga deck during the next tcg ban list which it should take place in february of 2016. So for now be patient my friend :-)

Unfortunately The Eye of Timaeus is f**king expensive now, making a fun deck around it problematic. $42 a pop, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight is $30 a pop, and Amulet Dragon is about a $20 card. That playset alone is almost $200. For that you could finish off a very expensive competitive deck you were trying to make, or for that matter a whole new one. Hopefully, these cards will get a reprint soon.

Damn man I only managed to get one "Eye Timaus" and ugh! I agree they need to reprint it. I mean they made Dark Paladin a Common so come on Konami! Anyway, really liking the build here. Always loved Dark Magician. Currently trying to make Dark Magician Synchro Pendulums, but I might get to the point of just going pure Dark Magician.

I have a dark magician deck I've ran since highschool, exodia ftk and light swam twilight but I really want to update my DM deck and I have never seen the spell book cards

I don't think you can use Prisma's effect to become Dark Magician if you're not going to fusion summon after. You said dump DM so Prisma gets his name, then activate Dark Magic Attack, then XYZ summon, but wheres the fusion summon in that?

Also Bottomless Trap Whole and Dimensional Prison would ruin your day if activated on Dark Magician, considering you have no way to get them back.

first: you have beautiful taste second : why you dont have eternal soul of DM or is it not printed yet ? third :konami is letting its guard down about censoration because dark renwal was in TF 5 censored without cross nor writting on the ring and it was called black magick revival casket.

You can put a Dark Red Enchanter in there and right off the bat it gains two spell counters and becomes 2300 and every time a spell is activated it gains a spell counter plus 300 attack and there is no cap on how many counters it can hold.

As someone whose getting back into Yugioh (doing Monarchs, I feel right at home with tributing) I used a dark magician deck all the time, It was one of my favorites, its so nice to see it isn't dead. Could we get a list? unless theres one, but I don't see it

I add another magician's valkyria just to lock my opponents from attacking and 2 dark magical circle in addition to this deck. do you think this is a good idea? what are your thoughts about it, anyway nice deck

If you really want to run Dark Magician then I'd play a pendulum magician engine. You can pendulum summon if it is in your hand or you can summon it off of skilled dark magician since it's so easy to get spell counters on him.

Nice deck I would also use a sorcerer of black magic,having him and paladin on the field would be a brick wall,for their effects

You mention you only run a ROTA because it's at one, but it's the only viable warrior for that card and you could just run up to 3 E Call?

I think he needs some support on the same level as red eyes and blue eyes the trap card is great but definitely room for more

+Noel Alberto I think it might be in the set after Shining Victories, or so it was rumored. It's also getting some DMG support like Dark Burning Attack (similar to Dark Magic Attack, but for your opponent's monsters) and Dark Burning Magic (clears your opponent's field if you have both Dark Magician & Dark Magician Girl on your side of the field). Hopefully, it'll include Magi Magi Magician Gal. x)

Yeah that's what I'm saying though are great an all but a few spells and traps tangent on one or both of them being out there is good but if you compare it to the blue eyes and red eyes support it falls short a little but let's see what the game brings

fieboy12 True they could have used more than a few Spells and Traps (not to mention their personal Xyz monsters like Ebon and Magi Magi). Like Seto stated, this will be a lot better if they'd reprint Eye of Timaeus. Most of this deck's potential comes from the Fusions, but Timaeus and DMG the Dragon Knight are expensive af..... :(

Seto Kaiba I have been testing this deck online. When i manage to summon 2 monsters in the first turn, is it better to special summon 1 XYZ monster (if so, which one?) or wait it out, add spell counters to it (skilled dmg) to summon a dark magician from my hand/deck
