Have you tried using Lair of Darkness? You can tribute your Opponent's monsters instead of yours for Chaos MAXX

Thanks for the recommendation!!! I do have a build that runs Darkest Diabolos in my Dark Magician deck. However, running Lair of Darkness in the ritual build seems pretty fun. Lair of Darkness is basically a free spot removal that's non-targeting or destroys which is great for getting rid of problematic monsters. Also, I think there are ways you can loop "Magician of Chaos" and "Magician of Black Chaos MAX"? Like for instance, during the end phase of your turn, you bounce "Magician of Black Chaos MAX" to your hand. Then, during your opponent's stand by phase, you special summon "Magician of Black Chaos" from the GY using "Eternal soul" then activate another spell/trap card which triggers its effect to pop itself to special summon "Magician of Black Chaos Max". - What I like about "Magician of Black Chaos Max" is that it shuts down monster effects completely including GY AND hand, not just monster effects on the field.

@P.B Btw, this is a genius build for Dark Magician Ritual! At first, I was skeptical about the ritual variant but there are actually a lot of interactions you can create with the ritual monster once MAX came out. What I like about Dark Magician in general is the ability to activate effects during your opponent's turn to disrupt their plays. Also, adding Zaborg so you can dump Dark Magician the Dragon Knight is so good. This means that you don't have to run extra fusion cards like polymerization or the Eye of Timaeus. A copy of Super Polymerization I think is still a very disruptive card though. You can even fuse your own Dragon Knight with a Dark Magician to summon another copy of Dragon Knight and therefore trigger Dark Magical Circle's effect.

Have you thought of using secret village of the spellcasters and Sorcerer of dark magic to shut down your opponents spells and traps and now monster effects with Chaos MAX?

sethviews I wold had done it but currently I’m stuck in Japan because the virus and not sure when I’m coming back. I’ll recommend to play the new Fusion and ritual spell + soul servant, that way you’ll have access to the dragon knight by using chaos max worst case. Allure of darkness or the spellbook engine (1 spellbook magician of prophecy, 2 spellbook of knowledge, 2 spellbook of secrets) is what I would recommend.

I’ll play Gale Dogra. You pay 3000 life points and you get to send a card to the grave from your extra deck. It’s a little risky call but you can send two Herald of the Arc Light buy paying 6000 life points and you’ll get add the combo pieces that you need in your hand. Even if you only have 2000 life points you going to lock your opponent for the rest of the turn so most likely you’ll win ether way.

@@P.B Actually, the deck seems fine, but it is missing the baby Impcantations. You actually want to draw them to summon the original ones from the deck and trigger their effects FAR more than drawing the originals. Think about it, if you draw Candoll, you are limited to summoning Talismandra and would only be able to search a ritual monster, whereas if you drew either Pencilplume or Bookstone you could summon EITHER Candoll or Talismandra, meaning you can search a Ritual Spell OR a Ritual Monster from each...and if you open both Bookstone AND Pencilplume, you can search BOTH a Ritual Spell AND a Ritual Monster (and have 4 monsters to tribute). Great Ashe/Veiler Bait too, that way your Mega Zaborg steals the game more easily unimpeded. I also recommend more copies of Chalislime for the same reason; it is actually is the most consistent of them all. Think about it: rather than requiring a Ritual Card AT ALL in your hand to trigger the other Impcantations, you just need himself and any other card (or he can even discard himself as cost) to summon ANY Impcantation from your deck! In decks like DM, or Blue-Eyes, you can trade those bricks for cards like Advanced Ritual Art or your busted Ritual monsters. The only detriment is the obvious 2500 if you don't Ritual summon, and the fact that it's one Impcantation on the field instead of 2, but that's still great if you run cards like Majesty's Fiend. I'd cut a copy or two of Chaos Form, as even though it works well with Mega Zaborg, it is ultimately dead or suboptimal in all other cases compared to Advanced Ritual Art, and maybe a copy of the Chaos Magicians or Talismandra/Pencilplume. Actually 45+ cards still works. Apprentice Illusion seems like it might conflict with Advanced Ritual Art imo.

Also don't sleep on Impcantation Inception, the Impcantation Ritual spell. Dump it with Foolish Burial Goods, then discard a dead Imp, to summon any from deck and that means ANY Ritual card as well! ANNNNNND add the Ritual Spell from GY to hand for extra advantage!

You can’t use magician of black chaos max to tribute magician of chaos like you said in your combo. When magician of black chaos max is summoned it tributes a monster as cost to use its effect and its effect is a trigger effect meaning it has to be chain link 1. You would have to tribute himself to get his effect.

Brandon Browning you’re going to chain “eternal soul” to Magician of chaos’s effect and bring out Magician of chaos. After that resolves Chaos Max’s effect activates so you can do the combo.

Ntss and the ritual searcher syncros say "if sent to the graveyard" so could you get both of their effects or does ome miss timing?

Cards that say "if" do not miss timing. Only cards that say "when" and "you can." You can activate both. The only way they can miss the timing is you forget to activate the effects.

This deck is really good one error tho you can't use magician of chaos effect to pop him self when eternal soul is active as it's dark magician on the field it is unaffected by card effects

You've got your impcantation ratios mixed up. The ideal ratio seems to be 2 of each normal impcantation, 3 Chalislime, and 1 Inception. Chalislime is the only one you want to max out on because it does something no matter what you open with (he can even discard himself for cost). You also want to open one of the bad Impcantations over the good ones because they only get their search/ graveyard recovery effects when they're special summoned from the deck, they also can't special summon another copy of themselves or use both effects on the same turn. Impcantation Inception is a decent 1 of because it can ritual summon any Ritual Monster and it has a decent recovery effect in the graveyard.
