That sounds good on paper, but in reality Mana is just another brick. She only protects if your monsters are targeted, which is easily avoidable by just attacking over them instead. Also called by the grave is running rampant, so either her or DM Girl will be banished in a heartbeat.

Because originally dark magician had green skin and blond hair, They gave him a recolor for the anime (don't ask me why, they changed it, maybe some japanese color symbolism i don't know about). These look pretty solid too me. The effect monster is essentially a free Dark magician/girl even if you draw them, which helps greatly with swarming. The trap is a good form of negation but the activation cost is a little flimsy. The fusion allows for some interesting plays but you may need to build the deck around it to utilize it's full potential. Not bad Konami. Not bad.

I just wonder if its all protagonists cuz like lets be honest red eyes needs the most support compared to blue eyes or Dm since Dark magician can be considered tier 2 if not than ar least closer than red eyes when it comes to that cuase the last support got people conflicted but they also forget the equip support made the deck sorta competitive ( or at least more consistent) at the time cause the 1 problem red eyes has that blue eyes and Dm has is that its too slow when it comes to support. Everyone's saying red eyes is going through an identity crisis but I think not cause atticus and joey played a similar yet different take on red eyes with metal morph red eyes and redmd the anime version and inferno fire blast as their way of playing with red eyes. The common card that sorta ties in the atk gain and tribute theme is alternative black dragon as it supports inferno fire blast andthe fact that joey tributed red eyes to make it stronger againgst rex with red eyes black metal dragon. The only thing now is to hope red eyes get support as dark magivian in this legendary duelist set cuz red eyes needs to stop focusing on lore alone cuz right now people keep calling it "wasted potential"

That's literally why it says "'Dark Magician' monster" instead. Did you forget what Eye of Timaeus does? Sure, you only get one use per turn and it requires the DM monster to be on the field, but not only isn't the latter a problem nowadays, but Timaeus itself still lets you "cheat" out any Dark Magician Fusion Monster, even the ones that have nothing to do with Timaeus. If Eye were easily searchable with the usual DM stuff, it'd probably be Banned or Limited, and even in the latter case, there are ways to recover it and the main Fusion you'll be bringing out with it (DM the Dragon Knight).

Even if the preferred method of Summoning is the Verte Method, Timaeus can just as easily bring him out at the cost of being limited to 1 Destroy & Burn while still keeping its protection and negation (+ a Stack) effects. I'm not saying this would make DM's "Meta" or anything, but one of the stronger Fusion cards in the game that can bring out something as powerful as Dragoon really has no business getting a searcher. And I guess being able to summon some of the other DM Fusions just with DM isn't bad either. Also, I assume you mean Mask Change II, not regular Mask Change. Because 1 allows you to summon Dark Law with HEROs, and the other lets ANY Deck summon Masked HEROs (Read: Dark Law) whether you choose to play some Dark HEROs or not.

A lot of them aren't really trying to be creative, they just want to be a fun little time waster. Wise man's grandson for example focuses on the comedy of shen being able to blow away mountains during fireball practice and not even flinch more than the "struggle" of fighting what should be a big deal, the demons. I could do without the random romamce but that's a part if the show not aimed at me so I just skip past it when those scenes go on too long and don't think about it. Just my two cents 🤷

If you just want to use one monster, Eye of Timaeus, but since you run that so you don't need to run the other crap needed for other DM Fusions (the Dragon Knights and Amulet Dragon, Dragun of Red Eyes, Dark Cavalry and Paladin, whatever else), you reserve that for them and just use Dark Magic Secrets for DM - The Ultimate Wizards.
