I don't understand one thing. Whenever such issues come up, why are only males or men blamed for everything. I mean, clapping cannot be done with a single hand similarly devorse can not be just the fault of the husbands. Now I am not denying that such situations do not occur, but we must also understand that somewhere, the laws are also biased towards the women. I heard one person saying, that if 5% of the cases of marrital rape or devorse are based on false aligations on men, then at least 60-70 per cent are true so he implied that we should focus on those 60-70 per cent? Why the hell should we do that? Everything is not black and white. I feel she is a little biased, for instance, she says that the mother in law expects the women to manage both household and their jobs, so why cannot men manage the housework? I mean couldn't she have given the option of a compromise like some days of the week one will cook and the other days the other one will cook.

Why pre-nup is not a thing in India? Clearly urban Indians have their negotiables/ non-negotiables chalked out before marriage. Now that they have already decriminalized extra marital affairs, the next step should be it. Also, being a girl I support not giving alimony to a working divorced spouse if she is working and very much able to manage her own expenses. If they have a child or the girl was forced to leave her job after marriage then that's a seperate issue.
