I used to think Michelle was this loving mom who really cared about her kids. I think she did to a certain extent, but now I realize how she really is not as connected to her kids as we originally thought. She almost reminded me a little more of a school teacher sometimes instead of an actual mother. She certainly appeared nicer to her kids than say Kate Gosselin did to hers, but something still did not feel entirely right. It definitely would make sense now that she was kind of disconnected from her kids. Once the kids reached a certain age, she just had the older siblings look after them. Like it was no longer her responsibility but now her 12 year old daughter’s. Crazy when I really think about it!!!!

So, on the issue of birth control allegedly causing miscarrages; Michelle was not on birth control when she lost a little girl whom they named Jubilee. Their TV show "19 Kids and Counting" had an episode about that loss. I have never any explanation as to what they think happened since there was no birth control. Her daughter-in-law, Anna, also had a miscarriage and she wasn't on birth control. As I see it, a weak argument against contraceptives since it happens with or without it.

How sad that Michelle may be ashamed of her sister for being a lesbian. I believe if we look at the bigger picture the Lord wants us to love our family regardless of differences. Who are we to make judgment?! That’s so shallow on her part. She’s clearly taught her kids to be judgmental as well. As much as I love Jessa, she too comes across as very judgmental of others. It’s sad. The only one to judge is our Lord. Michelle, reach out and embrace and love your sister! You don’t have to condone her lifestyle, but you can still love her! What’s even sadder is what if one of her children are LGBQ? Is she going to turn away from them and shun them? She sure should not! She should love them unconditionally! You can’t control others, but you can love them.
