Dark Shadows 1795 Meet the Characters - Angelique, Countess, Josette, Andre - Edited

My apologies. There is an error. Natalie du Pres is the aunt of Josette du Pres.
As we move to the 1795 back in time sequence, it seemed liked two things should happen - an explanation of who each character is and a video of the first time Vicki meets each one. Dan Curtis, Creator and Executive Producer of Dark Shadows said that fans went crazy when they saw the cast members from 1967 playing characters in 1795. He also said that he loved this time frame and didn't want to leave it.
This is the edited version of the video. The episode 368 was really 368/369 which threw off the numbering. Josette and Andre come to Collinwood in episode 370.

I read somewhere that these costumes which everybody loved were obtained from old vaudeville and 1930s/1940s Broadway storerooms. DS always operated on a shoestring budget, and Dan Curtis got these costumes for very cheap prices because they had pretty much been stashed away and forgotten. Who would ever have known, they looked fantastic!

I think this 1795 story is my favorite of all! Seeing Barnabas as he was before he was cursed is wonderful! The costumes are so beautiful! ~Janet in Canada

Lara Parker had a masters degree in speech, and her excellent diction was complemented by the fact that she had obviously studied French. She spoke it beautifully.

thank you for posting this.i didnt have the good fortune of growin up with the original dark shadows i watched the revival.i wasnt born till 1972 .thans again through these iam beginning to see why it was so loved in the 1960s
