Forgive me. I'm only about 500 episodes into the show. How is it possible that Barnabas and Angelique are doing anything in 1897? Barnabas was chained in his coffin for over 200 years. Angelique, had no need to travel into the future, until Vicki proved to her that he had escaped his coffin 200 years later. This seems like Black Adder.

Barnabas' essence time travel back to 1897 to prevent the ghost of Quentin Collins from wrecking havoc in modern day collinwood. Barnabas' 1969 essence merged with vampire Barnabas who was trapped in the coffin in 1897 with all future memories and he was released by the gypsy, sandor. Angelique was bought to 1897 by a summoning spell by Quentin and lawyer, Evan handley.
