Dark Shadows Deleted scenes

They literally deleted all the scenes that gave the characters some human depth. Julia is actually shown to do her work as a psychologist and also shows she's nicer than appears, Barnabas still shows he has some sort of human morality and Victoria and Caroline gets more of a chance to be likable. It's so sad how much it could help the movie but they gave up on it.

dark shadows is still one of my faves but the film needed these clips. victoria and carolyns characters were so watered down in the film that even the one clip they deleted woul have strengthened them. and the clip with barnabas and david is just really cute they shouldve added that

They should have left in the scene with Carolyn, it would have hinted at her being a werewolf. I always just assumed that Angelique turned her into a werewolf at some point, when she would have actually been one the whole time.

Aw dangit, why did they delete these scenes??? While I enjoyed the film I felt like there was something missing which I realized was character development and the relationships between them all. The one with Barnabas playing with David's dinosaur toys is so wholesome and cute! And the one with Carolyn and Victoria added more depth and development to Carolyn and added more hints into her being a werewolf. Those two where my favourites. The relationship between Barnabas and David was really sweet and special yet there wasn't enough exploration and scenes of them interacting and being close. And Carolyn is a very deep and complex girl who deserved to have scenes of understanding and her friction between her mother. I always thought this was because I'm a huge sucker for relationships but I'm obviously not the only one and many agree. Well glad that we still get to see these scenes despite not making it into the finished product.

I have an opinion about Dark Shadows, and I feel like it's unpopular but I just thought I'd share it nonetheless : the scene from the movie when Angelique tells Barnabas how hypocritical he was about getting mad at Julia for "stealing his blood" and killing her, because he did steal blood too, and then when she told him women were destroyed because of their love for him, women like Josette and Victoria and Julia and herself, I think Angelique was right. I mean, there is obviously a moral issue on Angie's side, but there is one on Barnabas', too. Okay, he's funny, and a lover etc, but he's not a good person. What he did to Julia was disgusting, and he used Angelique too. Also, he's got the right to kill tons of innocent and nice people, but doesn't get it nor forgives it when Julia steals his blood to become immortal? Anyways I hate hypocrisy

I watch the original Dark Shadows with my grandma (this is our 3rd time watching the show now) and it set standards for this movie and it was completely different. They should've made it more like the show. And more child friendly like the original. Don't come @ me.
