This is so awesome! David Selby is not only a brilliant actor, he is a talented poet and just recently I found out he is a distant cousin to my Selby family. Kate Jackson was amazing as Daphne and in Scarecrow and Mrs. King as well as Charlie's Angels. Lara Parker was grace, poise and beautiful. She played evil very well. But I really liked her in the last season.

To me David Selby will always be Richard Channing in Falcon crest. I never seen Dark Shadows. I wasn't born around that time. But I love a interview where David Selby talks about falcon crest.

Jaclyn Smith's first husband, Roger Davis was on this show and played the characters of Peter Bradford/Jeff Clark. I loved this show when I was a teenager. I remember that it was on late enough in the afternoon to watch it after school got out on the week days. Anyone remember 'The Hand of Count Petofi'?

Lara isn't at all egotistical. She is very down to earth and family oriented. I saw an interview where she talks about her hobbies. She loves to read, sew, knit and go horseback riding.

i remember when the 1897 flash back first started quentin was the villian but then as it went on i think it was after he was cursed he became a good guy and friends with barnabas i think because they had something in common.they were both cursed

I listen to my friends Dark Shadow on her phone.I use to watch the reruns.We went to Dark Shadow conventions.We have the whole set.Too much to watch the set.Senior moment.I liked the man who had power over Angaliquè.He was real evil.We thought had was the devil.

What made most of them "good actors" is that they were able to perform with very little rehearsal time and on basically live TV with a one-minute delay. Otherwise, not really. If I was to pick the best of the lot it would be Don Briscoe, Lara Parker, Louis Edmonds. Kate Jackson was the newest of the last of the cast -- her entire presence, voice and semi-masculine demeanor makes her one of the most unique actors. I think with today's TV technology, if it were done -- that talent would have really wowed the viewers. Dark Shadows is a legend because it succeeded by the skin of its "teeth".

Watching the show from the start again, there are some very "cringe" moments when you see an new actor on the show so incredibly nervous. Case in point, the first scene between Katy Coby and new guy, actor named Happer I believe...can't remember his entire name. He was visibly shaking. Scared to death. Stammered over a couple of lines. Tough rewatch. But Kate...day one...she was perfect. She shined even as a kid of 19. She made the actors around her in scenes better when they had a scene with her. And her being fresh out of school that was an amazing feat. Elizabeth Eils was overlooked. No one ever talks about her roles on the show. Right up there with Kate.
