He and Thayer David were my favorite actors in this series. The Reverend Trask and Professor Stokes.
@sharonlynnh.19515 жыл бұрын
Yes, two very intense actors Thayer David, (Prof. Stokes, Count Petofi/sheer evil, Sandor, etc) and Jerry Lacy (Trask iconic characters, spellbinding)..."Clarice Blackburn (Mrs. Johnson), etc, etc etc so many iconic characters on DARK SHADOWS that the DS's star Cast brought to Life, light. Amazing.

Oh me oh my Jerry LACY (our much "hated & evil" Rev. Trask, Gregory T., Lamour T., etc.,) is so handsome: it was truelly an "surprise delight" to finally see & meet this incrediable actor & other DS's legends @the50th Dark Shadows Anniversary (Halloween in LA 2016): his demeanor is very calm/direct , very nice and his eyes "beautiful-fiery" like he can see through you. Big smile (made us nervous abit) he took a pix w/us (sister/I), signed autographs: we'll treasure this keepsake forever!! Thank you, Mr. Lacy.

The Reverend Rocks ! I watched Dark Shadows from the late 1960's - the early 1970's. Like a lot of kids I was so drawn to this show it was the best 1/2 hour a kid ever had after school at 04:00 PM. It's been over 50 years since I've seen an episode. I don't remember much other than the caricatures. I've been tuning into episodes and documentaries here on KZbin and I never realized how great Dark Shadows really was. You can only go back once, This Is Without A Doubt The Best Second Time Around ! 🦇🌹

Such an charismatic Mystic legendary Actor Jerry Lacy🌠 so magnetic his eyes and all around Stage presence. His love to hate Dark Shadows iconic characters Rev. Trask, Gregory Trask and Lamar Trask are sinisterly unforgettable. Chiller. And his Tony Peterson 1st roll a heart-thr💛b & strongly believe he comes from the TRASK Family line. Thanks MR. LACY for bringing them "all" to Light.

For all of its over-the-top plotlines, "Dark Shadows" made a surprising number of trenchant points about human behavior in the course of its run. One of my favorites was in the 1795 story (which was probably my favorite). Reverend Trask was a fanatical witch-hunter and religious bigot, who had come across a house where there actually WAS a witch at work. Not only did he manage to misidentify her, but the real witch used him as her dupe against an innocent woman, to divert suspicion from herself. It was a potent lesson that extremism is always an evil counsellor, even when the danger it is out to destroy is, in itself, very real. As a teacher of mine always said, whenever she heard somebody use the term "crying wolf": "Never forget that there actually WAS a wolf in that story."

You remind me of my uncle up in heaven, at first I hated you on the show but I loved you after You always crack me up the wtich! the witch!! and how cunning and sneaky you were with Amanda, and Joan Bennet, and back when I was growing up I wish my dad had let me watch it, I am on 2nd time around with hubby I still cry, laugh, and always loved you on the show but I must admit Tony wasn't the best part you did, it was Trask or Rev. Trask you knew the Bible oh my I loved gregory trask also, and all parts you do are amazing I can't go a day without watching at least 10 epsiodes or more. You always cheer me up. LOVE LOVE LOVE This show! FOREVER.

I remember when Jerry Lacy appeared as the Rev. Trask on DS, he always reminded me of a young version of Christopher Lee. After Dark Shadows was canceled, Jerry went to be a Humphey Bogart impersanator on TV commercials for Right Guard Deodorant Spray & he played the Humphey Bogart look alike in the Woody Allen movie, "Play It Again, Sam."

I think if Jonathan Friday had not played Barnabas,Jerry Lacy would have been good in the role.After Dark Shadows,Jerry Lacy played a detective in As the World Turns.I would also have considered Jerry Lacy would have been a good Han Solo in the Star Wars movies.Two other Dark Shadows alumni who I would have considered for the role of Han Solo are David Selny and John Karlen.
