Dark Souls 2 - Fast Infinite Petrified Dragon Bones and Twinkling Titanite Farming!

A few suggestions to make it faster without even hitting any enemy: 1) equip a staff able to cast yearn, and a shield absorbing 100% phy atk, and poisionbite ring +1 so you won't be poisoned by the ascetic chest 2) at 1:06 of this video cast a yearn into the room and run like hell to the chest, the yearn will last 12 seconds, enough for you to loot the ascetic. if the chest blows poison, just ignore it with pbite ring+1, loot and leave. if it shoots arrow, just defend with ur shield for 3 rounds of arrow, loot and leave. 3) 1:32, just dash through the gap, no need to jump 4) 1:38, cast a yearn to the wall in front of you, that will attract all 3 enemies in this area, and just go down stairs avoiding the switch, loot soul of hero, effigy, and 2 chests. the 2 enemies in the chest room will turn and look at you for a few secs then turn back pretending they didn't see you. That'll save all the fights and reduce run time to about 2 minutes.

This still works as far as getting the twinkiling titanite and petrified dragon bones, but you wont get the ascetic back in SotFS version. If you need ascetics back, go to Aldia's keep and burn an ascetic at the starting bonfire. Go inside and kill the petrified hollow directly in front of the caged Giant Basilisk. He drops 2 Ascetics, thus giving you one extra. I unfortunately don't know any other spots that give you more than 2, but it helps if you need to farm some more.

Nice! Also keep in mind that the Sanctum Soldiers guarding the bonfire ascetic can be distracted with Yearn or Alluring Skulls. That can make step 4 a breeze.

Alluring Skulls are actually pretty ineffective in Dark Souls 2, they almost never work :(

Nah Illusory is right, I literally don't fight a single thing with the alluring skulls with this technique. First time you encount you throw them by the witch and they'll drop down and then the others you throw it in the trap spike hallway and voila.

Not sure how you are doing it mate, Don't do it too far from theim either, just get a bit close and throw it down the edge. It's a bit hard to describe in word but you know that part where there is a button and sends arrows?, well get next to there quickly and throw one close to get them moving

Another farm I use for these kind of items is the Dragon Aerie because of all the titanite bugs that spawn and the dragons. Dragons are very easy to kill with poison arrows and you get buckets load of infusion items, upgrade materials etc. Also no need to have any of the DLCs if you want to attempt this.

Since there is no longer an ascetic in the first chest its much easier to go from the hidden sanctum bonfire rather than the priestess' chamber if you've opened the short cut. You only have to get past 2 sorceresses and one knight and you're at the spike stairway.

There's a hidden chest with dragon bone and twinkling titanite next to the bonfire ascetic one. Hit the interruptor on the ceiling to reveal it. Or does it not respawn?

I've killed everything in my current playthrough including the 3 bosses in each dlc except darklurker. Also, cant you farm bonfire ascetics elsewhere? Then you'll have to farm ascetics and items shown in the video separately, would that work?

I use the ascetic, but the items in the wooden chests are just Rubbish each time. :( EDIT: I discovered what I did wrong. DO NOT BREAK THE CHESTS! JUST OPEN THEM! You'll end up with Rubbish if you break them.

Yeah, it's common knowledge that if you break a chest, it turns into rubbish. But you can open it and get it destroyed and the item is safe.

There are 2 Human Effigies. 1 near the 1st sorceress(after the trap chest behind the spear dude) and one on the bottom corpse at the spike trap stairs ^^

Just tried it in SotFS. The Petrified dragon bones are still here, but not the bonfire ascetic, so it's not infinite anymore. Instead of the ascetic there's 3 dried roots.

1. This is not a bug or exploit, there is nothing to be fixed, this is just how it acts like in the main game. 2. Nothing's changed, just beat the entire DLC once, you can ascetic it all forever.

I swear all these whiny comments just seem to be people who are hating on this video because this IS the best/fastest way to get dragon bones and twnks and they didnt figure it out! It doesnt matter whether its cholar or original this is the best way. You can anyway get infinite ascetics from aldias keep in scholar (maybe in original too?) so ascetics aren't a problem at all. And while getting those infinite ascetics you also get 2 dragon bones, then use those ascetic here to get 3 of each together. Also the reasons people are giving are dumb AF, why would you farm dragon aerie when at +8 intensity the time it will take to kill one dragon and then run back to kill the freaking lizards because they have vanished while you were fighting the dragon, is so long that you couold done this run twice and gotten 6 of both. SMH people are just full of pointless negativity online. TL:DR - This is the best farm for DB and TT whether original or scholar and thanks for showing the optimal path in such a short and to the point video :D

Elana, yes. So I recommend you kill her and get the bonfire after her before doing this, so you can just warp to sinh if needed.

j ha-nocri Join champion covenant and kill dragon acolytes in Aldia's Keep. The covenant keeps them respawning infinitely, so just put on your best item discovery gear and kill them/bonfire/repeat.

Thanks for the guide! I was trying to farm the "Imperfect ones" but hell there drop rate is as shitty as as 2 dollar hooker. Uh, unless catching STD's was my goal. ... These soldier guys are getting even tougher though... *coughs* trying to clear a few out before I run to my demise.. and talk about hitting like trucks. V_V; On this note though, its really damn sad, when you have to figure out a way to "break" the game in a way, JUST TO GET the materials you need... for upgrades. That's just shitty game design.

Nah, sorry, I still prefer Dragon Aerie over this, I used the method today, but the Soul output and the upgrade materials were not enough for me. For me personally getting 60k souls (3 Souls of a Great Hero) plus all the extra Shards is more profitable. Also it is really easy to not get hit by the dragons, if you stay between their legs, depending on your build (I usually use a Thrusting Sword of any kind, deals good damage and is fast, so I can dodge quickly, if I need to) Still a very good alternative though, I give you that.

Gilmore Mizzi Thing is this method is kinda meh because you will be fucked if you are on NG and you put the BI to +4 or +5 or whatever, also this crazy run to the chest containing the BA is stupid because the chance of the chest being destroyed is high. Dragon Aerie is the best place, BAs can be farmed in the Dark Chasm of Old and the enemies have a nice chance to drop it.

Well this guide is only possible if you beat the DLC, because it won't let you ascetic the bonfire until you do apperantly. Also, they should know it will get harder in the future, so they're doing it in their own risk. IMO, this is fast, efficient for us pvpers who already done everything :P
