Gundyr makes this look spliced. First you whip the camera back to look at you, 99xx dmg at gundyr, after 99xx dmg disappears his health bar changes. Whats up with that?

The camera whip is due to alttabbing and tabbing back in, the damage is a visual glitch in old patch, it takes damage that i dealt in a previous savefile or something. I remember if i hit Yhorm and then reset, it would show some ridiculous numbers next time i fought gundyr. Also, there would be no point to splice a run at gundyr

To finish the game in the smallest amount of in-game time possible, and in this specific run category all glitches and exploits are allowed. There are categories that don't allow glitches or exploits, categories that require killing all bosses that allow glitches, that don't. The point is how fast, under a certain set of rules, can someone finish the game from start to finish.

.....I can answer your stupid question. It's an any% speedrun. According to the rules of the run, glitches are allowed. Quitting and reloading saves many seconds. Playing the game how intended is not the point of an any% speedrun where glitchess are allowed. The runner's goal is to finish the game in the lowest amount of in-game-time possible, regardless of intended play. If that's not YOUR goal when playing the game, that's wonderful and no one should fault you for it. Just like you shouldn't whine about what another player's goal with the game is because that's how they prefer to play it.

That’s what an any% speed run is. Doing these glitches is significantly more difficult than playing the game normally. If it’s not your cup of tea, then runs marked as glitchless is what you’re looking for. It’s a different category and there’s nothing wrong with either.
