Definitely agree with you. Imo DS3 is a masterpiece and it's one of my favorite games of all time but it just doesn't need a remaster at all. Even though it''s 8 years old the game looks and plays amazing and runs buttery smooth on pc and consoles.

Dark Souls IP is owned by Bandai Namco, Bloodborne IP is owned by Sony. These are two different entities, no one is choosing DS3 over Bloodborne. FromSoftware can't control that Sony don't want to remaster or sequel Bloodborne.

Unfortunately it’s Sony that holds the rights to bloodborne not fromsoft, Miyazaki himself said that he would love to do more stuff with bloodborne but because they don’t own the rights it’s not up to them and Sony being the title camping bastards they are will refuse to do anything with it out of fear of losses

1:29 Ok. To be fair, everything you said here still applies to ds1 and 2 and they still got remakes... The time difference between ds1 and it's remaster was 7 years. The time between ds2 and it's remaster was literally a year 💀 A remaster for ds3, the most beloved Dark Souls game by the majority, is not at all far fetched, In fact it fits really well. Does this NEED a remaster? No. But did ds1 and 2 need one? Also no... I think throwing out the idea of a remaster just because it doesn't need one is not at all what from cares about. They want to do what the majority wants. And the majority has spoken that ds3 is the best souls game. I think they also may be doing this because of the next game they are making is going to be really big. So they need something to fill the gap of time. This is pure speculation though so don't quote me. The reason they aren't doing a bloodborne remaster is because Fromsoft doesn't own the IP. Good video :)

I really want to buy ds3 but I have an important question: did the remasters for ds1 and ds2 include the dlcs or they still require you to buy the dlcs? (Or maybe there wasn't even dlcs for them idk) Because buying the ringed city dlc alongside Ds3 is expensive, at least for me If the remaster would cost the same as normal Ds3 but include ringed city then I'd say it's worth it

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I’m the opposite. I always play my games in 30fps if there’s the option because most 3d games that run in 60fps make me motion sick, because it looks like something running at full speed but somehow in slow motion at the same time. For some reason it’s not a problem with most fromsoft games and 2d platformers but games like Spiderman and most Sony exclusives make me sick in performance mode, so I always play in quality mode even though my monitor is 1080p. So I prefer Bloodborne at 30fps because it feels faster and more visceral. I know I’m in the minority here though so I would still love a remaster so then more people will play it.

We can agree that dark souls 3 doesn’t need a remaster, but Fromsoft doesn’t own Bloodbourne, any decision with that franchise is Sony’s decision and their decision only

“[Dark Souls 3] is the last game in the world that needs a remaster.” Heh. I remember when people said the same thing when Dark Souls: Remastered was announced. Everyone was asking why they’re wasting their time remastering DS1 instead of Demon’s Souls, a game that was stranded on the PS3 and was never played by the majority of (new) FromSoft fans. And here we are again with the same situation, involving Bloodborne and DS3. History does in fact repeat itself.

So Dark Souls 3 does need a remaster? If so, I personally don’t think it does and a lot of people would agree with this sentiment. Comparing the original Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and Dark Souls 3 with each other wouldn’t make sense as they are drastically different technical and optimal wise (at least from what I’ve seen). I sorta get the whole “history repeats itself” view, but at the end of the day a remaster of DS3 most likely wouldn’t change much anyway seeing how visually stunning it already looks for an old game, which is why he made that statement. I would like to know more about this “event” where they were saying the same thing about Dark Souls 1 as I wasn’t apart of it.
