I’m playing DS3 and just stumbled on this and am just mesmerized with how easy you make this look, I hate PVP because I’m naturally a bad gamer and don’t have the time to invest and get good so I live vicariously through beasts like you

most people aren't bad, they just get nervous or don't know the tricks yet. my brother was also a bit nervous and couldn't manage his stamina, but then he started to play with pro's like kekse4live and learned all the tricks, and now he plays really good (to a point where he kills me in 19 out of 20 cases😂). there's a lot to learn in ds3 pvp and a lot that can be missed easily; spacing, hard-weapon-switches & combos, stamina management, item placement in the menus and so on. another thing is that many of the remaining ds3 players learned their stuff over the past years, which makes it even harder to enter pvp.

You got the chance to get better at pvp when elden ring comes out. Im Either doing a power stance quality build or a glass cannon sorcerer for my first character.

Nothing enjoyable being invaded by a strength build lol, almost as bad as min-maxed darkmoon blade builds.

Bro that intro is so heartwarming "I love you too guys" I felt that bro. If anyone were to ever claim invaders are toxic I would politely direct them to ChaseTheBro so they can see how wholesome invaders can be. Also there's still a whole game to explore, I'm sure there will be plenty of burst damage options in the late game, just by going off of what we saw in the network test. And there was quite a bit available for the network test, but it's all pretty much first area of the game.

This was an excellent stream Chase. My fav invasions were the one with the 3-man gank at Central Irithyll with countless vestiges 2:09:10, the one right at the end in High Wall 3:35:30, and the one with the co-invader who was very solid with the RKPGS 2:39:20 Oh and the one at ringed city where the haralds were going insane and killed the host as he saved his friend from a... riposte I think? 3:05:01

In Elden Ring it is speculated that there is dark souls 1 “floating poise”. This mechanic would not work with hyper armor, so I am assuming that’s why combos are gone. If there were combos but you are supposed to be guaranteed poise regardless of getting hit, it wouldn’t make sense. It’s such a bummer tho I agree.

I hope that they keep it so you can’t backstab and just ride up to the back of the person like in the easiest dark souls PVP which is one and three I hope that they keep not able to get a backstab easily because dark souls three has to easy backstabs.

I do wish they could make the backstabs and ripostes more reliable, but im glad face-stabs aren't in elden ring. cause as opposed to popular opinion, ds3 backstab is not perfect. half of the time it's not even a backstab
