Dark Souls Early Black Knight Sword Undead Asylum Location Guide

Getting the Black Knight Sword before the Bell Gargoyle boss fight. You need to clear the Undead Parish and open the short cut. There are two Black Knights in the asylum so you have two chances to get the sword
Warning: When you get to the Undead Asylum DO NOT run in the middle of the main hall or you will fall through and start the Stray Demon boss fight
Black Knight Sword 20% chance drop
Black Knight Shield 5% chance drop
Note: The more humanity you have in the top left corner the better chance of dropping

I did this unintentionally, got it from the first black knight you encounter in undead burg. It made the rest of the game significantly easier, I melted the Capra demon with 3 shots.

Yep, I got it on my first playthrough too, Undeadburg, thought it was a 100% drop. So good.

This tutorial whould be really helpful but you might want to explain that you should not go straight in the boss rom for the asylum demon because THERE IS ANOTHER ONE RIGHT UNDER IT, AND I DID NOT KNOW

I just restart if I don’t get it from the knight in Undead Burg. It’s just easier to run through to and farm. Just take the humanities at the shrine, pop them for the extra item discovery and parry or backstab fish the knight to death. It’s much faster

It’s possible to cheese (sort of) the second knight. If you stand on the left of the stairs instead of running back to the room with the water, most of his attacks will hit the wall. You only need your shield for his forward thrust, which is well telegraphed. Meanwhile just chip away at him with your weapon, because you have plenty of room to swing. Worked for me, anyway

if you want it dead early go the valley route and grab the grasscrest and the red tearstone, then go open the elevator /activate it

Its easy to kill him with: parry > attack x2 > parry > x2 attack and do this with him many times until you kill him.

You don't need to fight the gargoyles. Just activate the lift :)

You can quickly quit game before it saves and try killing knight again. I think Black Knight's weapon has 20% drop chance.

@@geg_otmopo3 Its why you'd want to burn ~10 humanity to get item discovery high enough. Kinda sucks that you can't get Gold Sperpent ring till sen's Fortress, but between the first Burg Knight, and the two in the Asylum, you pretty much are guaranteed to get something.

@@hosseinalborzi5684 No drops? Even with 10 humanity you sometime just get fucked and don't get what you want. Shame you can't farm black knights until the Kiln. Though there is one down in darkroot basin if you want to try your luck there.

Yep, feel that pain only large titanite drops for me on them. Restarted again and purposely avoided killing all black knights and came back to kill them latter wanting good drops, only got the shield with the gold serpent ring equipped and 10+ souls. WTF?!?!
