I think what the locust means when talking about irina is that it isn't the abyss attacking her but her own firekeeper soul doing it. Because the description of a fire keeper soul in ds1 states: "Her soul is gnawed by infinite humanity."
@gundamdetractor337 Жыл бұрын
i believe when they say that the Abyss never made such creature, they really mean the "small insects". they're all big insects. so its in fact, true. the Abyss hath yet to produce any such creature.

I love watching these lore videos as when I'm actually playing the game, I'm so focused on not getting killed every 3 seconds, I have little energy left to even pay attention to the lore. So these are always fun to watch.

Agreed. That's what made me decide on them for this video. I was real close to taking a jab at the OG himself Vaati for promising us a video on them that we've never gotten, but I don't want my hero to come noob crush me 😂

I agree..considering the ashenhollow moved on from souls games and vatti hasn’t covered souls in a long time either. The souls lord and games are being forgotten about.. love this! Keep going \[ ]/

This is a great video! I’ve been fascinated by the locust preachers forever and i think you did a great job explaining them. I grew up evangelical but i totally missed the Abaddon connection. Well done!
@sunnbrothers31833 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the love! I honestly only knew about the Abaddon filename from Lance McDonald and Vaati 😂 As for digging into the actual scriptural references in Revelation, yeah that definitely comes from my traditional Lutheran upbringing. Which I have quite heavily distanced myself from. I still love Jesus and His teachings, but man-made hierarchical religions are...gross.
@tyzombie893 жыл бұрын
@@sunnbrothers3183 ain’t that the truth 👏.. also i really think there is a connection between the angels and preachers. The angel hosts sprout from dead Londor pilgrims, who we know want to usher in the Age of Dark just as the locust preachers seem to want to do. Maybe the angel is like the final form of the locust life cycle? We can infer that they start out little because of all the smaller ones in the swamp, so a metamorphosis doesn’t seem too far-fetched. As i’m writing this, i just realized that the other thing we see infesting bodies in DS3 is the Pus of Man… interesting 🤔

@@sunnbrothers3183 You're not alone on the working strange hours and having a family to deal with ontop of that. I run my own small channel(Grael Volkenburgh), just LPs right now but wanting to expand out into more. I am a lore enthusiast, and my next series is a DS2 run, planning to hunt down lore and to try and see if I can talk to people like Lowkey to get translations for the Japanese context, see if the story can make more sense. It's an idea, dunno if I'll have any luck but I have hopes. Just no time currently. Keep your head up, you got the support of me and your other fans to pull ya back up in case you go under.

something ive wondered a long time is since fire is good against the dark and abyssalcreatures does that mean the abyss taking many places in ds 3 could have been prevented if throne of chaos never was defeated? and did the quelanas family know about it?

It would be great if they probably made a dark souls game based around the war with dragons or just the prime of cities before there downward spiral.
@sunnbrothers31833 жыл бұрын
It would be neat, but it doesn't much lend itself to the style of storytelling that has made From so special at this point. Fractured lands help create fractured stories, and that need to dig an uncover is what gets so many people so deep into the lore. Everytime you follow a rabbit hole, you end up finding yourself in an interlinking series of catacombs and caverns that seem to stretch on forever, twist and turn, and double back on themselves, much like the worlds of Dark Souls do. It would be cool to get some real answers, but then Vaati would be out of a job. And we don't want that. I need his silky voice to soothe me while I wash dishes or cook or what have you 😂

I'm a Christan and I'll just tell you, abbadon is an angel put in place by God. He's not the devil because this exact angel puts satan in hell. You did a good job on your research even though your not looking at it in a religious way.
