snoopy's covered this well, but yeah, passing through the fog will lead to an instant betrayal of the covenant, saying that you've tarnished the tomb of Gwyn. By doing that, in spite of Gwyndolin's orders, you've proven to him that you would betray the Gods and are not trustworthy of being the undead to link the fire. Interestingly, you can homeward bone out of the fight and absolve your sins through Oswald, which speaks volumes of the power of Velka, even over other 'Gods' like Gwyndolin.

People kept complaining of him using glitches, and for them I say: Bitch, this is still more legitimate than using fire tempest, which requires not stats and is one of the most damging spells in the game. This is still better imo

Somethodox About your INSANE four kings kill, i was curious if maybe move-swapping may be a viable way to truly one-shot them as well. i was thinking, maybe a crystal demons greataxe moveswapped to the R2 of the bonewheel shield could do enough damage (with pw, rtsr, and dragon roar +3 of course) i have no clue how to calculate the damage of that, and i dont know the 4 kings health anyway. maybe worth a test?

I think the Four Kings have about 9,500 HP. So even with all that it's a big ask. I'm tempted to give it a whirl against Manus however.

Apparently there's remnants of some incomplete weapon's code that had a special effect which could drain soul levels. So yes, hackers have used it with Dark Hand but the Stone Greatsword's TWoP effect is particularly dangerous since it will simply drain your stats with its AoE over time.

I'm pretty sure his regen effect works much faster than the tumblebuff's damage so I'm not sure what happens. I suspect you'd still have to take him out in his second encounter to get the Lord Soul.

Why you did not use the stone greatsword R2 attack in iron golem?

Because you tarnish the tomb of Gwyn. That's why he says "Halt!" when you approach the fog gate for the first time. Somethodox skipped the cutscene when he entered the fog gate but here's the dialogue that Gwyndolin has when you pass through the fog gate as a member of the Darkmoon covenant: "What foolishness... Why trespasseth upon the Great Lord's tomb, whilst thou art a disciple of the Dark Sun? Mark the words of mineself, Gwyndolin! Thou shalt not go unpunished!"

Not all of them! Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure it's just the Dragon King Greataxe, Dragon Bone Fist and Obsidian Greatsword. But it is a very cool feature since you definitely wouldn't expect them to be enchantable. I honestly have never tried using the Obsidian Greatsword's AoE attack while buffed yet, and I bet it's hilarious.

Tumblebuff or not, this is very impressive. I'd love to see some 1-shot attempts with maxed out builds. Is it even possible to 1-shot Firesage without Tumblebuff? Maybe with Strength + Faith at 99 with Darkmoon Blade +3 on a buffed Crystal Demon Greataxe?

It was, except for when the Firesage Demon kept double hopping away! Took me a fair few times to get it right as I had to keep sprinting after him to keep in range whilst he hopped all the way to the back of the chamber.

It works for everything, but it doesn't work for buffs. It *could* interact with the tumblebuffed stone greatsword in an unexpected way, who knows? But it doesn't normally do anything for buffs or debuffs

Basically Ceaseless will fall off the edge once he's hit by five attacks. And like you say that can be with your bare fists if need be since the actual damage doesn't matter. But since I'm only allowed to initiate one attack via one button press I wouldn't be able to make him fall off via any other means as he'd need to take at least four more hits. He'd just hang in there otherwise!

The Dragon King Greataxe actually connects twice. Once with the shockwave and once with the physical strike, and I can't get close enough to Seath for the melee strike so it would be at roughly half its maximum damage. Would probably have a better shot at it with Dark Bead. If I get round to testing it I'll let you know.

+Marco Antonio He used a glitch known as "tumblebuff" which lets you buff weapons that normally cant be buffed. As it turns out using that glitch on the stonesword causes the attack to do damage when its not supposed to

They did patch the initial spellswap glitch but someone found this work around. It's been known about for some time now, and yet thankfully it's surprisingly rare in pvp. You'll encounter more generic hackers than players using this glitch.

Ahh ok. well makes sense, that was something that existed in Demons Souls might come back to Dark Souls 2 due to some of the old Demon Souls armours showing up in the new footage. the Miridian Plate i think. Though i seen what you mean, though not surprised if some people use it with all the gankers in some areas

It can certainly be done with Dark Bead and possibly some other magics, but I'm thinking it would be impossible melee wise. It's hard to tell without some figures to hand, but I'd have thought 5000 damage would be tricky to overcome. That being said, I know there's a video out there where a maxed out Melee/Faith build takes out Seath in one shot, suggesting you could deal over 5500 damage! But I can't tell whether that's because Seath has an abnormally large weakness compared to other bosses.

umm, just started watching these vids and part 4 was the first one that popped up so i started here, but with ceaseless, he dies in that possission no matter what attack you hit him with, he will just die, so it wasnt your damage that killed him, but damaging him at all usually (for me it has every time) will make him just die while in that possission so didnt know if that was something known
