Only way to shoot the Dragon safely is to take the ladder down to the rats, then go out the door and take a right on the narrow ledge and hug the corner. This strategy does NOT work on NG+ with a Level 14 Pharis Bow because he regens health too quickly. Unless of course there's a bow out there that has more power....?

@@roughtakes7271 red tear stone ring + power within strats while being cursed and have the HP regen shield on you. since power within is % based, you want your max HP to be as low as possible so that the regen from the shield keeps you alive, and then you should have enough damage

It doesn't fall to its death. You can tell because its souls never add to the player's soul otal. It just flew away. This isn't a glitch. It's just something the wyvern does. Sometimes it flies off. When this player goes back to the bridge later, the wyvern will show back up. This solves nothing.

For everyone sayin this doesnt work... i thought the same thing but i found the trick. When u turn around to run back towards the doorway, MAKE SURE YOU REALLY HUG THE WALL TO THE LEFT AS U RUN. Best thing to do is kind of hold your analog diagnal towards the wall. And also dont try to outrun him too fast. Sprint like 75% of the way to the door then just let go of the run button but continue onward just as you did while running but just walk. Then when he gets u w the flames just turn ur camera around and Voi La! Works 100% of the time. Figured instead of replying to everyone individually id just throw a comment in for everyone. Enjoy ur playthrough through ancient yharnam everybody ;)!

Found out if you kick the ladder down by the bonfire and keep respawning the enemies on the bridge and get the dragon to kill them that's 555 souls for you if you're a new player starting off.

If this glitch isn't working for you, here's something you might want to try: DO NOT start running away immediately after you shoot the arrow. Instead, try to run the moment you arrow hits the dragon, so that the dragon will have already entered the animation where it jumps down before you start running. Apparently, the dragon has to jump down before breathing fire for the glitch to work, it doesn't work the other way around. I was running too early, and in 50+ attempts the glitch never worked, because the dragon was breathing fire BEFORE jumping down on the bridge, so it would teleport back on top of the gate when I moved the camera around. Only took me 3 attempts after I tried this method.

Well, I tried to do the technique of hitting the dragon through the wall behind (the wall is opposite the doorway leading to the stairs to the Black Knight) which worked in NG. But on NG+ the regen was too much (even after tail was cut off) for me to be able to kill it. I didn't know about this glitch but what I did do in the end was to get the dragon on to the bridge as in your video and then I kept darting in and out near where Solaire was. Took two shots and hugged the wall in the corner to avoid taking fire damage. Wash, rinse, repeat. It was finicky but by doing this the dragon never went back to its perch so it never regenned health and I was able to kill it. Wished I'd seen this first though lol

im pretty sure everyone in the world knows about the drake sword. you can get a +10 weapon in about 30 mins, skip to capra kill with dung bombs, go to the depths pick up the ember farm the slugs for large titanite in blighttown and buy the normal titanite from andre and boom +10 weapon that is already better than the drake sword

watch the full video, i get the souls, the drake is dropping to the killing plane all the way at the bottom of the map the "glitch" that you are referring to, isnt a glitch, its just how the fire from the drake works, the invaders in that area always spawn in the middle of the bridge, where the fire from the drake is a one shot, there are multiple locations on the bridge where the fire from the drake will one shot where they invade just happens to be one of those spots

that was an extremely old glitch when the original game first came out. it was one of the first things they patched in the original game. so no , that doesn't work anymore and doesn't work in the remaster.

remember tho. dragon weapons have 0 scaling. early game its ok. but to upgrade them they need dragon scales. and 10k souls per upgrade, and the drake sword is pretty bad damage even at +5 it only has an attack value of 300 at +5 compared to a balder side sword or great scythe +15 the drake sword is really bad

most bosses can bleed but have very high thresholds most bosses that are easy to bleed are the demon type of bosses. (Taurus demon, capra demon, stray demon firesage demon i think centipede demon can bleed) a good weapon that also has bleed is the great scythe (the only reaper class type in the game with its own move set) very strong two handed R2s

no, the boss soul dupe is patched out. however you can do the frame perfect soul dupe for non boss souls (just the tiny usable souls ) but you can only do it one time per soul item

You can do it more than one time, actually. There was a youtuber experimenting with it and he managed to dupe 4 humanites in a row. However, the precision required is insane. For soul items you have a 1 frame window, which is 16.6 milliseconds. Humanities are easier since they have a 2 frame window at 33 milliseconds.

The frame perfect dupe requires such perfect timing that it is highly impractical. You put drop all but 1 of the item you want to dupe, put it and your estus flask in your tool bar so that when you use it your estus becomes the selected item in your toolbar, then on literally the last frame of the animation for popping the item (a 16.6 millisecond window) you press the use button again. Done correctly your character will pull another of the item you used out of thin air and use it again. You can continue doing this over and over so long as your timing is perfect.

if you want the tail you need to cut the tail your self. need to bait him to land on the bridge, stand by his foot for a bit to bait a stomp attack. then rush to his tail and hit it till it gets cut off

This is cool I just don't see a point the hellkite dragon Is really easy and fun to kill normally anyway though I suggest cutting it's tail of first

you are missing the point of the video, i didnt upload it as the way people should kill him. i uploaded it as a proof of the glitch still existing in the remaster, and no dont bother with the drake sword, its a terrible weapon

hellkite drake dosnt drop a dragon scale. the only thing he has is the tail cut for the drake sword, but its a garbage weapon

@@VorpalTiger I disagree, it's a pretty good sword that carries you though the game at lower levels, it definitely helps me out, infact I always go for it when starting new characters. Even at 5+ it's pretty decent. It's far from garbage, alot of people use it.

@@jasperfox6821 its a trap weapon tho, a lot of people hold on to it for far to long, yes it can be useful but when you get to the depths you should start thinking about getting a better weapon and getting it to +10. drake sword has no scaling, and the upgrade cost is way too steep for it to be worth investing in and other weapons out scale it by a long shot

@@jasperfox6821 you would have done way better with a balder side sword. side sword is the best long sword type in dark souls 1, has the longest reach out of all of them, and the best scaling with dex, buffed with magic weapon or crystal magic weapon makes it extremely good. there are better weapons out there, drake sword isnt worth the 10,000 soul cost every time you wanna upgrade it not to mention the dragon scales needed, the only good dragon weapon is obsidian greatsword, and maybe dragon king greataxe

And I got no souls. Went to kill the rats, and heard stomps. I went up. Saw nothing. Went to the bonfire at the burg and reset and the dragon was back

@@rinzler9171 you need to wait till the drake hits the falling limit and is automatically killed. things are instantly killed if they fall for too long of a time, its a prevention feature in the game so you dont get stuck in geometry, same applies to enemies

@@VorpalTiger yeah that happened to my character once in dark wood garden when I woke up those trees and twin sleeping iron golem things, I got knocked down and fell through the ground forever then finally died. Ok will keep at it. Thanks for the video!
