I’m an ex witch/new ager too. This is my first Halloween as a Christian(I accepted Jesus March 22), and it’s such a good feeling. Not gonna lie though, I felt ALOT of spiritual attacks yesterday l. Only used to allow my son to dress up in hero costume to school but one year I followed him for trick or treat and as a spirit filled christian, I could literally sense the dark spirits roaming the street as we walked the neighborhood. It was so so strong and I could not help myself from just praying in tongues as we walked. When I got home, I put all the candies in a bag, prayed over them and trashed them without my son knowing the next day. I just knew deep in my spirit that some of the candies had spells on them and that real witches actually participated in handing out treats that night. Since then, we have not done halloween again. I never celebrated Halloween with my kids. A spiritual decision we made as parents. They did not attend school that day. We were ridiculed at first. By family and some friends. I kept them home. We went out for lunch and dinner on that day and they looked forward to it. They got to eat off the adult menu. I remember my son being teased on what he missed out on at school. But he bragged about his day he had. I was proud. We explained to them why we do not participate. I asked my kids as adult do they feel like they missed out on anything. They said no.❤amen.

Watching today and repented for all of the years I allowed my kids to celebrate Halloween. I was never allowed to go as a kid and I felt like they took away my fun. They were so right!! I stopped celebrating Halloween when I was 19, I am 31 now. I remember going out in my teens and something never sat right with me. I never had fun and the atmosphere always felt heavy and awkward and I gave it all up. I also never understood why are we going to strangers houses to beg for candy and we are wondering why there are needles in the candy. One of the basic things we are taught while small is DON'T TAKE CANDY FROM STRANGERS.

My aunt tried to warn me years ago about celebrating Halloween but of course I didn’t listen. I thought if my thoughts were pure about it then it didn’t mean anything. Years went by and about 2 years ago I listened to an ex warlock who also revealed what happens on Halloween, at that time I had more of a connection to God so I decided that I would no more celebrate it. I gave all of my decorations away, repented, and my kids don’t even miss the “holiday”. That’s the power of the Holy Spirit!

One of the biggest issues is we don't want to be set apart. We are called to be set apart from the world and Christians just want to be accepted by the world. Once we realize we're to be set apart so many things will come into focus. The dentist asked my baby what they wanted to be for Halloween and he said “we don’t celebrate Halloween “. Do it take it away now because babies are so much more forgiving. My church is not doing anything halloween related but offering a petting zoo, pony rides, and cute fall themed activities. Thank you for your truth and honesty. Im so glad Jesus set you free. I started crying when you spoke of how you lived in drugs and in people’s backyards. My heart breaks for what you’ve been through but rejoices so greatly in where the Lord has you now. Your church might consider having a Harvest Festival every year (not the week end of Halloween). The Israelites celebrated Sukkot, which is a harvest festival (which comes I think 5 days after Yom Kippur) that commemorates the Lord's provision when The Jews left Egypt (Manna, the rock that followed them around giving water, etc.) Its such a cute commanded feast day (week-I think its 6 days long) because families build these cute little booths/tents with palm fronds, tree branches, etc for the roof. So you could turn it into a Bible lesson and family activity. They still do this in Israel every year.

In replacement of that, my church is having a Book of Revelations night where we have this guest speaker explaining revelations to us. He’s doing it October 28-30. Thanks so much talking about this. So many churches celebrate this day and lead their congregations into practicing witchcraft-which opens doors into the demonic realm and into their lives. Neither of my children(2 adults and 2 adolescents) have ever participated in Halloween. God revealed the truth to me years ago and I'm so grateful that He did. We need to fast and pray to bind the enemy and cancel out the witches' spells and rituals on this day. Christians don't need a substitute (ex: Fall festivals,pumpkin patches, Hallelujah Day,etc) for that day. Yet the very mom who brought me to church, made (sewed) Halloween costumes for my siblings and I. I had it so ingrained to dress up for Halloween, that for several years I would wear a costume as an adult. I think the Lord is convicting me to not participate this year for the costume contest held by my employer. I have been reading listening to the Bible and opening my eyes on lots of things like holidays and Halloween and it really is a spiritual battle especially with my spouse we are so divided on all this but I will keep praying for him to see and ask for prayers for me and my family 👏👏👏 And keep sharing and I’ll share also GOD keep Blessing her 🥰

My husband believes that it’s not about the day it’s about listening to Holy Spirit and where he leads you. He believes God can call you to go to a holiday celebration to minister because he will use anything to get the word out. He used to Dj and sometimes he still Djs for birthday parties which I disagree but he says he always ask God first and everything happens for a reason

I've been standing up & out this year like no other on this holiday season , I have gotten such resistance , people have gotten upset with me so much . Thank you JESUS 😊 💓 continue to be with me & cover me in entirety I plead your blood over all .

This is so helpful!!! I have a grand daughter whose mother is very into Halloween but in a "cute way." I pray for them to come to understand the dark side of Halloween!!! I get it totally so I don't celebrate Halloween, just Autumn decor, as in harvest times! I pray for my kids and grand daughter to come around!!

When we went to get costumes I was warring within myself. I ended up giving in because of my husband. He is not the spiritual leader of my home. I am. I have been convicted about it since last year (2021). So much so that I stopped our annual Christmas party and made it a “fall festival”. But I am so conflicted and I wish my family understood. My own father, a pastor, participates. Please pray for my decision as we are close to the day

I am 61 years old and when I was small we thought it was fun. We dressed up as a Princess or a cartoon character. I remember we did not worship the devil or thought we were conjuring up the devil or demons. But now…. I do not partake of anything to do with Halloween and I try to talk to others about this darkness. 😇

My family and I start going to Church last year and converted. Our church remind us not to participate and do Halloween. I am a new believer and didn't think too much of it and took my kids treat or tricking like usual. That very night after we went treat or tricking, I had a terrible nightmare. In my dream I was walking around and around the neighborhood that we went out earlier, and in my dream it was cold outside. I could feel the coldness in my dream that it woke me up. I pray to the Lord for help and told my kids, we are never going treat or tricking ever again in my life. It is full of satanic activities.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. I did not know acid would open the door for demons. I did that once when I was a teenager. It scared me really bad. When you talked about this I stopped the video and started praying and closing that door to never be able to work in my life again. Thank you Jesus 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
