Just maybe re:zero season 2 will get a directors cut similar to season 1 which will fix most of the problem this season have because this season we had a lot of episodes where it’s 28 mins per episode and most likely have to do with the director decision which can be added in the directors cut. Also arc 4 will definitely be the whole of season 2 due to how long it is compared to the first 3 arcs .

The episode just taught me tooo much. 1.He did not feel like his life was much of a value.... He saw it like i will die and i will make the future awesome. He did not love himself and always focused on helping others. He did not accept the power of return by death....but in the end he accepted it and he took the hand of satella and decided to help her. 2)All the witches reaction during subaru killing himself by biting his tounge:The pride witch belives its right what subaru did so she tries to stop minerva from healing him....Then we have minerva didnt like this idea of his and she condems people who try and kill themselves. So she tries to rush in and save him while not caring about her selfm she risked her life so that she coukd reach him but the witch of pride stopped her and damage her habd. Then we have witch of sloth. We get to see her powers and damn betulgese romani couti desu should be proud of the witch of sloths power. Then we have satella telling subaru that sge wanted him to love himself. At this point of the show we kbow satella or witch of envy to have dula personality disorder.

my theory is, satella and subaru meet somehow in different timeline. but somehow satella "return by death" to the timeline subaru first time step on lugunica. and she gave him "return by death to protect him. it just like how subaru fell in love with emilia, but the whole thing reset and only subaru who remember their sweet time in lugunica. make sense?

Actually one thing I'm wondering about is the origin of Return by Death. Yes Subaru gained it from Satella in this timeline, but is it an innate part of the Envy witch factor, or is it a power Envy gained by killing it's wielder, like she gained the power of the other witches. That raises some very interesting possibilities for an initial timeline, complete with the possibility that the state of the world was a result of Satella gaining Return by Death by slaying it's original bearer, and then throwing herself into the past due to inexperience with the power.

I am so glad I finally decided to read the light novel. Their is so much that is cut out that gives Subaru's struggle a different meaning. I was only reading a little bit at a time. While reading the last couple of volumes I was unintentionally reading just enough that it was exactly what was covered in the episode airing that week. Honestly I like that he met Satella and his character development that came from it as a result. Can't wait to see that Subaru in part 2.

All Subaru got was his life to be thrown away so he could save everyone He hasn't thought of another way, it's the only 'power' that he got. Yet, it turns out that dying made everyone he cared became sad. Having RFD made him think that he is alone and he got to do all things alone. Satella made told him about 'not fighting alone' However, Subaru is still confused about how to save everyone without dying. Potential spoiler!!!! Daphne let's slip at the last tea party in the web novel that Subaru is the Sage candidate. Absorbing witch factors from the sin archbishops seeing as how they would align with his shadow element.(he already has sloth in the anime- we just haven't seen it used) So my theory is that the shunted witch of envy ends up giving him a true death with Emilia nearby the witch factors leave him and go to the nearest willing person- someone who isn't compatible with these witch factors would end up fractured. Therefore and thusly Emilia is in fact the witch of envy....on accident. She accidentallyed a witch

Roswal says his plan is to kill the dragon. As far as we know they've never even met and we don't know why he wants to kill it. Satella was sealed 400 years ago so except for the dragon the other beings who helped do so are likely dead. We do meet a 'ghost' of the warrior who helped seal her in arc 6 however.
