Summary: While being transported via train to a carnival, a king cobra is let out of its box by Satan, and it kills two railroad workers. The snake flees into the night, under the influence of demonic powers. It eventually heads toward a small Alabama town, ready to strike in the name of evil. Meanwhile, thetown's Roman Catholic priest, the Rev. Tom Farrow (Fritz Weaver), discovers that his ancestor was none other than St. Patrick, who drove the snakes from Ireland. Now, Farrow must do the same.

The ultimate mashup that actually was created is the serial PHANTOM EMPIRE (1935), which combined cowboy and science fiction genres in a partial musical. Dark Corners Has More Bite Than Anyone On The Internet! Once it's in you, the effect is irreversible! It's a shame this didn't inspire a franchise. By the fourth one the snake would roar like a dinosaur while being chased by Richard Harris. I could have sworn that priest was the disembodied head from "Re-Animator". But few actors scale heights like that more than once.

It is so sad to see good actors, such as Fritz Weaver (“Failsafe” and “Holocaust”), Normal Lloyd (“A Walk in the Sun” and “St. Elsewhere”) and Gretchen Corbett (“The Rockford Files”, in which she played a private detective’s lawyer, and “Magnum P.I., in which she played a private detective’s lawyer) in bad movies like this. And even Christina Applegate. Still, I suppose you have to eat.

The connection between devil worship and druids is of course nonsense, but the clergy did make that connection during the middle ages, to get people to abandon their old ways and adhere just to christian rituals.

Despite its flaws and leaps in logic, this is a fun movie and worth the watch. The distributors shoe-horned in something like 3 totally unrelated movies as name-only sequels to this. They're a real mixed bag.

(2007) Rogue and Under Siege A giant saltwater crocodile is on a US Navy ship with a badass hero and others that have to defeat the Terrorists that have taken over the ship and avoid getting killed by the Giant Saltwater Crocodile. Indiana Jones and Friday The 13th Indiana is searching for the fountain of Youth and is in the same area as Jason Voorhies that has gone away from Crystal Lake, and also searching for the Fountain of Youth is the Son of The Pirate Blackbeard with his crew that are Pirates, Soviets, and Cuban Communists. Jason Voorheess shown fighting a Russian Army tank would be pretty damn great.

I feel like this mashup could actually work, but you'd have to (obviously) make some changes. Firstly, make the snake being Satan ambiguous, possibly by making the priest a little unhinged. Next, change the big event into something that you can't easily cancel or reschedule. And finally, no giant snakes :=)

I think at some point in the '50s/early '60s, on American TV, there were more western shows on the air than all other genres combined. Plus, westerns are a genre that lends itself people being isolated and not having ready access to weapons that should make it easy to destroy a monster.
