I love how afterwards its just dead silence, and you continue on, it really adds to the feeling of hopelessness in the darkest dungeon as well as the ancestor’s line, “it will live again in another time, another place.” As if all the efforts your warriors go through will mean nothing in the end because the sleeper will always come back eventually, this combined with the heart of darkness just shows how hopeless everything is in that world “We are not the flame...”

I love the Sleeper. It and the Husk have such a unique vibe about them that make them distinct from the Dark Heart's goons.

To be fair the Sleeper seems to be a rival Eldritch Abomination to the Dark Heart, so of course the Sleeper and its minions will give of a different vibe compared to the Dark Hearts underlings.

It's odd that the Sleeper is categorized as a "husk" enemy instead of "cosmic" like the Heart, even though it itself isn't a crystallized corpse.

Maybe it's because the Sleeper hasn't reached its final form yet. The heart was categorized as "eldritch" when it was in its gestating form.

I know this comment is 3 years old, but my personal theory is that the sleeper is actually an infant, or better yet, not even fully developed yet. Since the husks are the strange crystals and stone of the comet, the sleeper being a husk implies that the entity inside isn’t The Sleeper we assume. It is possibly yet another form of herald of whatever being lingers in the vast cosmos. Or, perhaps more terrifying, The Sleeper is a seperate cosmic entity, distinguished from whatever the crystals are. Perhaps The Sleeper was a cosmic entity that came into contact with those antediluvian crystals, and became a husk and a herald to whatever controls it now. Using their combined influences to extract life from its surroundings. Turning all into naught but a blasted heath.

60 if i remember correctly. Just make sure that your party have solid healer and stress healer. Fights arent very tough with good party

Dodge! Dodge for everyone! Pile on the Evasive and Luminous quirks! Get the Lineage mod so you can give half the team Frail Scarfs! Get the Twilight Knight mod and have her use Anticipate! When most of your team has more dodge than a raving madman, your vestal can heal your team faster than the sleeper can hurt your team!

It's not the sleeper itself, it's the mob during the farmstead that looks like a rock and has riposte by default. High defense, not a lot of health

This guy is meant to be a stress check The sleeper can't really kill any of your dudes directly unless you're really unlucky or not fast enough , he's there to stress the shit out of you, so you think twice about continuing the endless harvesto

It is worth buying. Adds a lot of trinkets for the main game, and the threats are mostly isolated with the exception of one beast.
