For future reference with the hunting horn, you can stock up to 3 notes while you're doing the bubble dance and up to 5 notes when you do the focus mode attack where you do the little guitar strum animation AND the more in-time with the beat you are in the process the more damage each strum does. It's a super sick way to stock up melodies and get out some quick flashy DPS 👍

You don't have to first get on the Seikret then change weapons. Just pressing the button even off the Seikret will call it and you'll immediately change weapons upon getting on.

after playing the BETA in PS5, I was able to run WILDS in solid 60 fps medium settings with motion blur off. the hype is real boys, only 4 months to go.

How did you make it run 60fps in ps5? And by ‘medium settings’ did you mean ‘prioritize framerate’?

@@markhelsonartillaga7766 go to the graphics settings and set everything to either medium to low and disable blurr, it works but it's not consistent to me at least

Turning off motion blur really does help loads of these early issues

If you choose prioritize framerate turning off motion blur is a MUST. It's way overtuned and turns everything into a blurry mess. Also turn on seikret movement type 2 so you can control them like palamutes. Honestly I'm not sure what Capcom is thinking with some of these default settings,

Motion blur is usually a default in all games. Not sure why, it’s often a terrible setting, but it was expected imo

I think the SOS hunters won't attack the monster while in a trap due to the risk of killing the monster when the player might be wanting to capture. just a theory though and possibly a setting they can add to change that ai function.

For all of you guys complaining about the performance of the game you have to realize this isn't the finished product the devs themselves said they are using this last quarter to polish/optimize the game, balance weapons, and fix any bugs. I don't know why you would expect the final product to be here 4 months before release.

it takes quite a while to get used to, especially with faster weapons, but it's quite good

My work is rather on call, so usually, I can’t play mhworlds unless it’s late evening (since I could have to leave any given minute). The ability to pause is such a lifesaver in that regard!

It was decent enough but it had some clear dips into the 30s I'd personally only play the game in performance mode but I'd love to see Capcom improve upon it

I was hoping that we would be able to roam the open world with our party and get into quests dynamically(like when you play solo), but it seems like we don’t see our party outside of the camps unless we are on an active quest together, once over it boots everyone back to camp. That sucks, but is my only complaint, other than that, hyped off the charts.

The "bloated" damage numbers are likely to make it easier to balance the damage per weapon and less for the understanding of the user.

I mean on frame rate mode, I think it looks fine. It’s not perfect obviously and it could look better, but not only are they absolutely gonna improve performance before launch, but generally, the resolution of what was immediately around me was fine. Again, it definitely could be better, but in frame rate mode, it was not abysmal in my experience or anything like that

@@epsilon1372yea idk about them “improving it before launch”. I’m almost certain this is what we are getting at launch. I would have rather them use the engine for world focus on fps than whatever they decided to use. Performance mode stays around 45 fps on average that feels god awful and the muddy, and grainy look makes it hard to enjoy. It’s almost like they are forcing you to go to the 4k 30fps mode which I am not going to play.

@@Nownadda performance is always something that is done late in development and based on what content creators have stated, this is basically the same build they played a couple months back. iirc world had these same issues too on the ps4, but were fixed later albeit a bit after release

@ idk man this seems like a horrible way to do a “beta”. If your goal is to get people excited to buy the game if they’ve not already preordered then this is a terrible way of doing so. However, I hope they do make adjustments. I’m going to try the steam version since I have a decent pc, but currently this has really killed my excitement.

yeah the hunt is fairly easy, you'll likely be able to clear it 1st try. Though I'm sure it can be difficult for newcomers

The performance for "Prioritizing Resolution" actually isn't that far from the "Pritoritize Performance" option. "Prioritize Performance" doesn't have consistent frames and the image looks horrible. Another huge thing, turn off motion

I really disagree. The image definitely looks worse than quality, but it definitely does not look bad imo. And I noticed a huge frame improvement from swapping to performance. I’m sure it’s not always consistent, but it certainly didn’t feel super inconsistent to say the least from my experience

Nobody should play this game on performance mode. The game looks like absolute shit + it doesn't even come close to actually hitting a consistant 60. It feels worse than 30 sometimes due to the variable frame rate and frame pacing. And if you play with constant 30 fps you'll get used to it but when playing on 60 for running around the world but it drops to 35 or so in combat it'll be incredibly jarring and feel way worse. Just don't do it.

This! Maybe it is because I am an older gamer that just got used to lower frame rates but I will take a consistent 30fps over a variable sometimes 60...occasionally 45...and usually 30-35 when things matter most any day. Especially in the case of Wilds when the visuals for "performance" are so awful...i swear I do not think its even 720p...probably 480 or something. So bad. That said, game is a blast. Sadly, based on decades of gaming, I seriously think we will see any night and day differences in these modes this close to release...I few improvements here and there.

The framerate mode is one of the most atrocious things I've witnessed. It might tip close to 60fps for seconds but most of the time it's jarringly unstable and the base resolution must be sub 720p. Like, the fact that they released a beta and not a demo says a lot. Let's hope for the best.

They released a beta and not a demo to stress test servers and find bugs, I dont know why you think that the final polished version of the game would be released 4 months before the official release
