I know he doesn't usually get much love, but my favorite New God is Lightbeam. It's a toss up between Orion, Barda, and Lightbright for number 1, but it's a close match. He may not have the most creative powers nor the most iconic costume, but Fluorescent Gleam still manages to stand out among his many, many peers. All I'm trying to say is, don't sleep on Shine Line. Bright Boy for the win.

To me he’s getting more press than he ever has, in a big way. There’s a lot of buzz around Superman Legacy, EVERY comic movie fan is waiting on casting for that, and Fantastic Four. They’ve expanded and heavily pushed the Superman titles in the comics too. These guys are just contributing to an existing trend. Which is good!

You guys have been killing it with the recent selection of stories for Back Issues. Well, you always kill it, but the last few weeks especially have been real fun with stories I never thought you would do or had hoped you would do. I definitely remember reading this and seeing the S:TAS episodes as well, I still think the show did it better, but the DCAU was so perfect anyway that it’s no fault of the comic if it can’t compare, even if it was first. I also used to mispronounce Darkseid as Darkseed, and used to look forward to when Cartoon Network replayed the 80’s Super Powers cartoon’s that he was in to learn how it was pronounced, cause even then I had a feeling I was saying it wrong. I still am not completely sure about Raz or Raysh al Ghul” tho lol
