Couple things; Midir already does good damage for ER's number scaling, I don't think he needed to be buffed at all. He does far too much poise damage per single attack.

The Poise damage is very accurate. Midir in every fight against other bosses, large enemies etc. Is a stagger train. Even stagger Yhorm with his fire breath. Who is so highly resistant to Fire he's practically immune, still gets stunned by it.

​@@K1yoshuFrom my knowledge of boss vs boss history, the only 2 enemies that Midir has had consistant issues with fighting and even often loses to are Yhorm due to his high resistance and bulk, and Gael due to his constant speed and dps. These three have been at odds with eachother forever, like three way rivals or a starter trio Also btw, in his current state of the mod, Gael was kinda done dirty when ported over to Elden Ring since so many of his heavy hitting spins, jumps, and combos are just missing, but his wind ups to them are still there partially

@@masonstewart6232 Yep, I never said he won in every battle... I said he was a stagger train. Gael also doesn't get posture broken like NK because he doesn't rely on it and instead has the same Poise system as the player. He gets interrupted but no more than that. He's missing most of his kit for sure... maybe they'll update him later?

Yeah no this isn’t buffed midir at all this is base stats he literally just does 999 poise damage with his fire and laser attacks just watch any dark souls 3 video of him fighting other bosses

Their stories have many of parallels, except, one volunteered, the other was volun-told. Though I do feel more pity for Midir than Fortissax, stolen away as an egg while his species was practically put to extinction. Raised as a pet only to then be forced to take in All the Dark of humanity for Ages only to finally succumb to it in an age where the names of his captors (literal Gods) are all practically forgotten. He'll probably always be my favorite Dragon from FromSoft.

Oh, and because I didn't mention it in my first comment; this is crazy! Amazing work! Great job! Hard to believe you did this on your own! Does Midir have all of his attacks, like his big purple laser beam attack? I understand if not, I imagine they are more complicated. I have the same opinion as others, I'd love to see him fight other bosses, especially Placidusax. Maybe just bring down his damage if you can. Or increase the other bosses health by a lot. Lastly, it is funny seeing how different the two look in terms of style. Midir's head is so much bigger! They both have similar leg shapes, but they move very differently.

He does not. Lightning is neutral. Abyssal dragons lose their lightning weakness, at least the only two to have ever existed did. Kalameet actually resists lightning.

@@wizardothefool For Midir, since he is neutral to lighting, you're fine using lightning damage especially considering he resists all other elemental types. As for Kalameet, it depends on what you were doing. If you were using lightning miracles, then yeah, you were at a flat out disadvantage. Now as for melee lightning damage, it depends on whether you were using an infused weapon or simply buffing with gold pine resin. If you used a lightning infused weapon, then you were putting yourself at a disadvantage because you would be splitting the damage between a neutrality and a resistance, thus reducing overall damage. As for buffs, they are really good. A buff will always leave you doing more damage unless the enemy is flat out immune to that damage type. Buffing adds flat elemental damage on top of whatever physical damage you already do. Kalameet resists all elements, but that resistance only applies to the elemental damage you're adding. A boss could resist the element by 90% and you'd still see at least some damage improvement. Let's assume the buff adds 100 lightning damage and the boss has a 40% resistance. That means you're only adding 60 instead of the 100, but the attack rating still goes up.

@@wizardothefool If you want the numbers for Kalameet specifically. His resistances are insane, only one boss in the whole history of FromSoft has more insane resistances and I'll get to that later. Kalameet has a 90% resistance to fire, a 90% resistance to magic, and a 76% resistance to lightning. Dark wasn't added until DS2, but I'd imagine he'd resist that too. The only boss I can think of that has more insane resistances is Fume Knight. None of the wikis give specific values, but he is borderline immune to fire damage, has at least a 90% magic resist(I fought him as a sorcerer and crystal soul spear was doing only 300 damage at 60 intelligence and a maxed out magic infused staff of wisdom), he has a normal resistance to both lightning and dark, and to top it all off, he is immune to every status effect including bleed.
