Just ordered and Deck and found these, so glad I did, and am reassured that I made a good decision in getting the largest drive. Going to be going through all your beginner vids to get myself up to speed before the Deck even hits my doorstep. Thanks!

Your “Proton 101” video was what gave me the confidence to buy a Steam Deck. I’ve always been a console gamer, and I wanted the Deck so badly, but I couldn’t justify the cost if I couldn’t play Assassin’s Creed or other non-Steam titles. On top of that-I was completely lost when Deckers started talking about all the different software on the Deck. I found tons of videos on HOW to download launchers, but I was nervous at the idea of moving around files because I didn’t know WHY I would be doing it. The way you broke down all of the layers and interconnections of software in your 101 video was EXACTLY what I needed to feel comfortable getting a Deck. Thank you so much man! ❤🎮

I've been shuffling through your various Deck tutorials for the last 2 hrs or so. Great content, very helpful. Most of all: Trimmed to the essentials. Surely takes a lot of work but it shows. If you're not a certified instructor for something somewhere, you should be 😉

Yes I bought the 64GB model and out of all of my games only a few will fit Final Fantasy 789 they fit Metro games and that's it everything else will not fit but I knew this when I bought my steam deck I also bought a 256gb SSD I'm waiting for it to come in I'm going to swap it in and do all the technical mumbo-jumbo and I am buying Final Fantasy 7 remake hopefully it's on sale during this next Steam Sale at coming up soon yeehaw

you are THA MAN dude. Im in a pickle and I bet you are just the guy who knows exactly whats going on. Maybe you already have a video on it, Im looking I installed dolphin to play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem everything was working great until I had to go back into desktop mode to fix a few things with the Graphics. The option to update was just sitting there, waiting to be clicked. Of course, like most people know, now my save states dont work! Why does Dolphin do this? Can I revert back to a back up? Does steam deck even do automatic backups and where are they located? EmuDeck might be the answer, but Im having so much trouble figuring out how to set it up that I've just about given up.

I wish I was your guy on this one. I don't use Dolphin much; my interest in emulation sort of peaks at PS1 (with a toe into PS2 from time to time). I wuld try on Reddit, good sir. There are lots of "late gen" emulation enthusiasts there. I'm just not one of them.

@@Darkuni thanks man, reddit is filled with (what feels like unhelpful snobs who look down on those who have issues installing emulators) One thing, I have followed set up guides for EmuDeck and it all seems fairly straightforward, yet when I return to game mode to try and launch it, it loads and loads and eventually kicks me back out to the main menu. Thoughts?

You glossed over the SD card part really fast and failed to mention the big difference between A1 and A2 SD cards. A1 cards aren't meant for games while A2 cards are. Just blanketly telling people to get an SD card with a high file transfer speed will lead them to have a 50/50 chance of picking up an A1 card and getting extremely slow download speeds and gameplay. A2 doesn't suffer from this issue.

Is dbd playable?
@Darkuni2 жыл бұрын
I would follow Reddit r/steamdeck. It seems it has bounced back and forth from playable to unplayable. Last I heard? It worked. But I'm not a player of the game - so I haven't tested it PERSONALLY. Reddit's sub will always have the latest info.

Sort of the idea. Why cover the same things over and over - but new folks find an index helpful. If youtube would allow us to replace videos? Life would be a lot easier. Unfortunately sometimes in order to get people to see old content you have to bury it in new content.

Every new steam deck owner should install Windows and forget about steamOS bs..... I've been playing pretty much every single game I own without problems.
@Darkuni2 жыл бұрын
That's definitely one approach. But there's cheaper ways of doing that than a steam deck.
