@@Rebecca-nx5ec Unfortunately her behaviour is typical of a proportion of Maori who deliberately ignore personal responsibility and find illegal opportunity exploiting others vulnerability preferable. It's not everyone else's fault. And the Green/Labour adernistic behaviour making attitudes and communication so divisive coming home to roost is hilarious, apart from the fact this parasite is still being paid. Note grifting is endemic among the politician class, Luxon's electric car grant and accommodation rort being fine examples the likes of Trump are not in isolation. And that one is leading NZ, not some slippery backbencher on the losing side of idealism & fantasy.

@@user-xb8tc3tc8t Well that justifies that. It was introduced due to the flaws in FFP, some remember those. It provides options and is simpler than other proportional representation systems. Still too complicated for many. Referendum results endorsed it.

@@user-xb8tc3tc8t Hard to be more divisive that Luxon & Adern, both list MPs. MPs are selected by their party organisations systems, democratically apparently. So those interested can contribute. It's likely they are quite representative; time hasn't improved the mentality of many MPs. Yet most parties produce some good ones despite the company they keep. MMP provides the opportunity to support one party philosophy and vote for ones preferred local MP rather than party choice.

Grasping at straws? Beverley, you need to learn the facts before you play this game. That issue was not wilful / deliberate law breaking by an MP (as the case of Darleen Tana is). The WP / Pension issue was an incompetent Government Department problem. Oh and did any civil servant ever have to face any consequences? Probably not.
