I am 69, have childhood trauma, and even though my life is amazing, I can still be triggered, and revert to that hurt, confused, and scared child. Still a work in progress. Lol! However, I now refuse to allow strangers effect me with their ignorant judgements. Your video’s have helped me see that, and I thank you for being a mentor… even though you don’t realize it. Nurse here that worked 35 years in Alcohol and Drug Rehab...part of my job was leading the AA ,Al-Anon and CODA meetings on the units. I learned the 12 Steps and Traditions can be applied to anyone and their life. At age 70 I continue to read Melody Beattie books and follow the Steps for a Peaceful life. May you find Peace in your life.

Through Al-Anon and CODA I figured out who I am, learned to create my boundaries for all areas of my life and learned how to stick to them while not being concerned how others feel ...which Iam NOT responsible for. Since I have been practicing these concepts, it is amazing how FREE I feel in my Spirit.

Darlene, I can relate to you in so many ways and I thank you for your your honesty. I had a rough life with my Mom and I’m 65 and she is still very scary to me (she’s 90). Darlene,, i took the photo of Joe and Rocket, exactly how you apparently meant for it to come across! I saw it and thought you were back together and you were giving us a hint/clue! I was curious but knew that when you were ready you would tell us/or not! As for still having Rocket, I just thought that either Joe was somewhere that he couldnt have Rocket yet and you were still babysitting or you were just very attached to Rocket and you and Joe were working that out. Either way I knew that this is your private life,, none of my business what so ever and I would never dream of questioning you.! People are awful and judgemental.
