How do you apply Tretinoin if you have long hair? Or is this assuming that you're only applying it to the bald area without any hair...

Hi doctor..isotretenoin 20 mg tablet was prescribed to me by doctor to treat scalp seb dermatitis before having a transplant. I was told to stop it before the day of transplant since it has hair thinning or telogen affluveum side effect over long term..so is there a possibility?

Yes you are right. Every medicine has a negative side to it and hence has to be used judiciously.

Dr may I please send you my pics . I had 2 procedures and it looks very thin . My transplanted hairs is very thin and getting thinner I don’t believe that transplanted hairs cannot be effected by DHT

Yes they are affected if selection of a person has been wrong- if the do not hair were miniaturising and harvested in that state and transplanted, they will continue to be effected. The most common cause of 'failed hair transplant'!

Tretinoin vs microneedling - pls compare the efficacy for non responders

Microneedling is a mechanical thing. It does not affect expression of sulfotransferase and the 40% non responders will remain non responders.

Hello Dr, I am 35 years old and 6k scalp graft are implanted on front line and crown ara before one month. Below things are i am doing for best result expecting. 1 very recently started finasteride 1mg every night 2 every alternative day taking very cold water bath 3 3-4 Hours before bath applying pumpkin seeds oil and gentle massage ( my scalp already oily ) 4 taking hair growth vitamins including more biotin. Please let me know which number is am doing wrongly as per the your experience. Your response is highly appreciated

Sir please contact your doctor for advice. It is unethical in our field to interfere with another doctor's treatment so early after a hair transplant.

Can finastride regrow fallen hairs ?

Fallen hairs it regrows all the time. But if the roots have gone, it will not.
