I was pleasantly surprised with the skullector, she looks really cute and when it was announced/leaked we were getting a squid game doll I was questioning how they’re going to make one. Also lots of people were saying it might be a g3 doll because of the body type, knees and the face is more reminiscent of g3 instead of g1

ill say it i think the girl of the year AG doll is SO underwhelming compared to prior years. i'm gonna throw Grace here for comparison because i had her when i still collected American girl dolls. i feel the upcoming girl of the year doll in comparison to the other baking themed girl of the year (that being grace) is just- VERY muddy Grace's accesories were so cute. i absolutely ate the little beret and the charm bracelet UP as a 12 year old. the pastry cart that came out when she released was SO well made. the BELL on the pastry cart actually functioned as a bell. I haven't seen the extra accessories for Summer yet, but if its as bland as her existing stock photos as im thinking it is, then i'm just gonna call it here and say she'll 100% be COMPARED to Grace

With Summer's color scheme, it honestly looks like a rainbow barfed on her. omgggg the AG GOTY has me feeling SO BAD for kids these days! I've not been active in AG stuff since I was a teen, but I remember Lanie (2010) and the only GOTY I got, Kanani (2011)-- I swear I remember the GOTYs coming with more things in their base doll, but upon googling I guess not. Still, Lanie has this school uniform thing, and Kanani had her flowy dress and sandals and necklace-- maybe it's my own distaste for the dumb pastel tie-dye, but the 2025 girl's outfit looks like something I would have been sewing for my dolls back in 2010, NOT an official release. Which I'm not sure if that's a pattern or not, since other recent ones like Joss and Corrine seem to be really well designed! Anyway, I have to go down a nostalgia rabbit hole looking at American Girl stuff on eBay so I'll leave off with good luck vtubing and such! I've seen some vtubers/pngtubers have really adorable and silly ways to play with the medium of a 2d or 3d sprite tied to a webcam for movement, I hope you can have fun with it too! At least, have fun being a little cat boy.

The Maeve Reilly doll is so insulting to me because it’s not an expensive doll to produce. I can cobble a dupe together at home for under $35. It’s simple denim pants, a triangle tube top and the most basic of trench coats with reused playline jewelry slapped onto rerooted/repainted Barbie Looks dead stock. The face mold and hair color is extremely easy to source as a DIY. The clothes are easy to make with modified Simplicity/McCall’s patterns. They would have made plenty of profit at the $35 price point. Even with the collab fees and box design I refuse to believe this doll costs more than $20 per doll to produce and if $15 profit per doll isn’t enough then that’s just greedy to me. A 42% return on an investment should be enough. The only way I could see $35 not being enough to profit is if they screwed themselves with the branding contract but it’s Mattel vs a mid sized fashion influencer I’ve never heard of so I doubt they would make such a stupid mistake. It’s just greed to a rude degree.

The Vtuber design is excellent! I love it! Doll-wise, the only thing I like and what I bought is the MHxSquid Game doll. I was surprised as everyone else when the release was announced, but the attention to detail from the series is soooo good! Missed out on the preorder for the Fang Club, but we got her the next day (yesterday, as I type) with no problems. I loved Squid Game, and the Red Light Green Light doll was so iconic, how could she not be part of my collection?! The Belle would be tempting if I collected Disney dolls (my wife may actually kill me if I start a new line of collector dolls, rather than encourage my collecting habit), because that is my favorite dress for Belle, and Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney Princess movie (fave of all time is 101 Dalmatians).

The new Barbie Fairy looks breathtaking because her screening is different from the usual Millie face-up! Also, the Styled By Design Filipina Barbie looks marvelous! Happy Halloween. we are celebrating Halloween in Scandinavian like in us almost, but we are also celebrating the spirit world who is so close at midnight. THAT disney belle doll is NOT realising in EU, and it's really unfair i have been collecting all of them and now we are not getting that. but i did get the LE alice doll mascarade, my hubby bought it to me. as you probably know by know, being a doll collector in Scandinavian is hard, all the dolls are very expensive, so i have to be very selective on what i will be buying this year. but i think my mom got the magic mixies pixlings for me. ❤❤❤❤

I honestly don’t think Summer looks bad, just that she isn’t what an adult would look for in a fashion doll. Remember, the point of American Girl was to give the kids playing with them a doll the same age as them. Summer’s dress looks terrible to our eyes, because we’re not 9 years old, but to an actual elementary schooler, that dress might be the absolute pinnacle of fashion. The truth is that a play line doll, even a crazy expensive one like Summer, just isn’t made with us in mind. If the materials her outfit is made from are super cheap, then that’s a different story, but the design itself is primarily meant to appeal to little girls and not teens/adults who happen to like collecting dolls.

Lol as an AG fan I can say Lila stirred up some controversy because she is actually the doll for this year 2024 but was released during last year 3 months early which basically cut the sales of 2023’s doll Kavi. The company likes to do this sometimes to their dolls of color to make it seem like they have a reason for not making as many of them. And while I think Lila is a cute doll, Summer… yeah no thanks it’s just another animal lover where the company can push the plushies and sell recolored items that they have already released. Her and Lila’s collections are honestly not great and it’s really sad that all the effort and creativity is gone from a once really fun collection.

I LOVE your Regina inspired outfit, love when you mention popular culture. Mean Girls is one of my favourite movies, 2004 version of course though. Also I don't like Summer's outfit as a 13 year old, don't think I would when I was 8-10. Maybe her outfit was inspired by The Eras Tour because of friendship bracelets and rainbows from like the Lover era. I love your videos, I consider myself a collector because I took a break from dolls, I buy expensive collector releases and don't play with them, I know your videos are targeted at older teens and adults though.
