I would love to see your interpretation of more yokai and onryo ladies! The Jorogumo turned out GORGEOUS, so I’d love to see how you’d depict a kitsune, an ubume, Kuchisaki-onna, Oiwa, a yuki-onna, a rokurokubi, and a kejoro. I feel like all of them would look amazing!

Yes! Though it might be important to note that kimono are worn with the left side folded over on top for living people--right over left as in this doll is reserved for CORPSES. Which, you know, could be deliberate for undead-style monsters...

I lived in Japan for five years during my teenage years, (military brat), and I've seen this monster in many media since then, including Gravity Falls. You captured her essence perfectly, well done!

Is it weird that I find the "pretty" mask face more creepy than the real spider face?! I love the look of this doll. And you did the spider body in such an inventive, cool way. I'm also a suck for duo chrome and iridescent glittery stuff and I think it works really well for this doll 🥰

PLEASE consider making Hecate for spooky season. She’s the Ancient Greek Goddess of Witchcraft, Necromancy and the New Moon. She’s traditionally shown with 3 separate faces facing different ways and I think it’s be a fun challenge for you.

I have once read that the makeup we associate with Geishas is actually the makeup of a Maiko (Geisha in training). Geishas apparently don't wear any make up, and the ones that do are Performance Geishas, but they have no blush. Blush is Maiko exclusive.

Absolutely amazing, as usual ! Another creature from Japanese folklore is the Kappa. A kami who lives in water, who has a head like a bowl with water within. I imagine a kappa-girl, greenish and spooky..( sorry for vocabulary mistakes, I usually speak French...)

I loved what you did with the eyes, they look amazing. I feel silly but for some reason I thought you were gonna put her kimono on over her spider body too... 🕷 I don't know what I was thinking. Her kimono is beautiful too. (I'm really glad you didn't try to make the spider parts hairy or anything, i don't think I would have been able to watch.) Do you think you'll do anymore body modifications this year? My favourites are the corpse bride and the mermaid modifications. The centaur was pretty cool too. 😊❤

🌟 You know Marina, if you ever need a creepy Halloween inspiration, you might want to check out the vessin in the TV series Grimm. (That's where I saw the Spinnitod). They are half human and half creatures that can vogue to hide the creature face. My 2 favorites were the Seltenvollgle, a golden bird girl in Germany and the Fuchsbau, a fox girl. I bet you could make all of the vessin look fabulous! Ps. the spider was world-class!❤❤❤
