Pro mix is the best. Our local garden center uses it for pretty much all of their plants that they sell. It drains well, and is just a great potting mix overall.

I bought 2 of those fertilizer injectors last year. One for the garden and 1 for my wife's flowers. They worked great. I used blossom bloom for the flowers and her hanging baskets looked great. I put all of her hanging baskets and flower beds on drip irrigation with a timer so there were no hoses to drag around and when we went on vacation she knew her flowers were getting watered. Watch out for those substitute Farm chore helpers care givers. I left my place in the care of one that I loved and trusted very much. However he didn't know everything about my animals and accidentally left the door to the feed room unlocked. when I returned home 2 days later I had loss most of my dairy goat herd . It was due to them getting in and overeating and dying from bloat. It was a bad experience. we will keep the troopers family in our prayer's.

Saw the sweet corn video. Works better to grow your corn in square blocks not in long rows. Corn pollinates by wind for the most part so if they are in blocks no matter which way they wind blows the neighbor stalk is pollinated. Planting in Long rows just makes it more of a challenge to get every stalk/ear good coverage. Happy Spring Growing Season! Thanks for the video on the container gardening!

Prayers and thoughts are with your co-workers family and for your peace of mind. When I was working at the "Fort". When someone was hurt or murdered I really felt bad for the family. I then thought about how easy that it could have been me. We always used the buddy system, when possible, when we were working. With your work it isn't possible to work as safe as we could, you could call for back up and hope things don't go south on ya before they get there. I've been using Pro Mix for about eight years now and it seems to be a great product. They have starter sets now with trays that help air prune the roots and has a water wick sheets for automatic watering and covers and heat mats. They are great for starting seeds but I still use the old six pack light plastic 1020 fillers and trays. If I have root sensitive plants I use peat pot strips and slice the sides when I transplant to garden. God luck on all .

i am glad you band the bull, the days of cutting have long past, cutting use to set them back a month, and the added cost of treatment after, were banding, they feel nothing, they dont even move when you let the band go, they just keep on eating, i only had one fail in over 30 years, ad that was because he had a 3rd nut up in side. i have a video on mine banding, as well as at later days, to show how it works

You can get a couple of donkeys for protection. I saw one kill a cougar that went after the owners dog. Grab that thing by the tail, and swung it around banging it on the ground until it was dead. Then he stomped the big cat just to make sure it was dead. Never seen anything like that before. They will take on coyotes too.

Banding is the way to go. No risk of excessive bleeding or infection. Then they just fall off. We banded a Tom cat once haha. That was an adventure!

the two biggest commercial green houses here, that sells plants and flowers of all kinds, use seed starting trays like that, but the have a big shacking table to move the dirt down and hoppers above to load the trays, i dont pre start anything, it would cost a lot to heat, never mine the year round green house. we are just starting to warm up now, today we got a high of 32 degrees witch we been no were close to that since last fall, and April will be -10 to -30 at night yet but the days will see any were from 18 to 34 deg though April, but it has happened we get a week of -35 in April and a snow storm of 2 to 6 feet of snow some years, i just plant in the ground in mid June, and buy all my longer growing plants from the big local garden centers, i use to have a small high tunnel, but the heavy snow load took care of that, like it did just over a week ago a big storm we got, flattened some good barns, including one brand new one, and killing 12 cows. i would love to start my own plants for people but not in my cash flow
