Enjoyed getting a walk round to see all the animals today. They all are so healthy and well looked after, even down to where you keep them. Those baby goats have had what they needed at every stage. What a super homestead you and Deejay keep up. The highlight for me today was seeing just how tame Lambert is, thanks to all that love an time bottle feeding him! Have a great weekend Daniel. 🙂

She keeps her distance and stares back at you. Little Gemma, so tiny and cute, I was afraid Crazy Eyes would stomp her. I was raised with beef, goat, rabbits, chickens, ducks and sheep, I hate the taste of store bought food, all the chemicals, medications, pumped full of water to make it weightier and the taste is well has no flavour. Id wish my hubby would allow me to raise my own, he did allow me to get a couple dairy goats as I am a big milk drinker. That wild eyed hefer will definatly be very tasty. I agree with you! If you’re gonna eat it you need to know where it comes from and how it was raised and even process the animal yourself if your equipped for it. That animals live has been in your hands and as a responsible meat consumer you are doing well!

This old girl sure doesn't complain about people who raise and process meat. I just wish I had the land and could do the same!! I don't even have enough land to garden anymore except for a few tomato and cucumber plants. I guess people that do say things against raising animals for the meat have just never been around farming enough to appreciate it. You all have a good weekend!

I completely understand processing you're on animals I was raised that way on my grandma's Ranch and sadly since she has passed away I haven't been apart of my ranching lifestyle that I so desperately want hopefully over the next few years I can get me and my five kids back out into the country life with animals and everything I miss it so much the FFA for the kids I was in it I want them to experience it's just a way better way of life and I miss it so much and I completely understand where you're coming from and I am so jealous of your whole set up your land and your family and your animals are just absolutely gorgeous and I love watching your videos

I visited a few slaughterhouses and commercial farms when I was hauling in my big rig 18wheeler. Needless to say, I quit and walked into the woods. When I was a kid I was lucky to be able to hang out at the village farm, 'helping'. The farmer (his name was actually Mr Field) had a bit of everything - crops, pigs, hens, cows, and he'd buy steer calves (we call them bullocks in the UK) and rear them for market. Many of these were Angus/Angus x, and I remember him saying that although Angus is a good meat breed, this animal has a very tricky temperament. Load of trouble. I'd guess your Crazy Eyes is just being a typical awkward Angus.

He said she could not be bred and with her personality, she will not make a pet. These cows have to have regular shots and hooves trimmed, her being skittish and scared makes her hard to handle and also she can be dangerous to a handler and to herself. Best option is to feed her out and put her in the freezer.

These days you never know what your getting at the store if you raise it and process it you dont have to worry. I live in the city now and the only thing I can have are rabbits and chickens but that's a start.

Some folks have a hard time with processing animals that are raised on a farm, but have no problem buying meats at a store. I think once they look into those big brown eyes, they catch feelings for the animal. But they were created to be food for us. It is their purpose. I would do the same if I didn't live in an apartment in the city. I used to raise meat rabbits.

We use to load our crazy cows to a car wash and spray them down some it helped calm down some it didn't might try that with her, possibly pen her up in a smaller pen and feed her some sweet feed
