There is an SPCA organization. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. SPCA. Someone would drive 200 miles to pick up those dogs rather than have you DOA them. Those people would feed, pet, bathe, love on, and find new homes for them. If you can't find a chapter in your nearest town, someone would come from another town, or even a neighboring state! You aren't without options.

Sadly , we have a throw away society. I'm hoping somebody reaches out to you & rescues them. Sometimes , people suck ! We are seeing this more & more in rural areas. On a brighter note , everything is looking great !

This is happening in cities as well. Ppl are always posting animals they have found and sadly nobody ever claims them. To top it off our shelters are now charging $150 fees for surrendering one animal. There's no wonder why ppl are dumping them instead

Daniel, there is an SPCA in Enid, OK and in Tulsa, OK. Maybe you could reach out to them and even if they won't come maybe they know of an Animal Rescue that would. Also, there are numerous Humane Societies that might help. That pup might have been whining due to hunger. She looked pretty thin. The cruelty of people just breaks my heart. And you're right, the risk to your other animals is high although she seemed friendly and may well have been a farm dog. These dogs may have just gotten lost and they can travel miles and miles from home.

The female seems hungry, exhausted and confused. I would have contacted the local Veterinary Hospital and find options, being a retired Veterinary Technician myself. Not certain she isn’t injured as well, needs a thorough going over safety and care. Action is better than none for her survival. You have to help this dog. Take her to the vet. Help find a foster place for her to go to. She might be sick internally from drinking bad water. It's the humane thing to do. Make some phone calls to see what else can be done to help this dog. Leaving dogs alone can turn them into feral dogs which can cause problems for everyone with animals. Feral dogs aren't like coyote or wolves. They don't have the instinctive skills to survive.

Omgoodnes, I thought the first 3 dogs were cute but the 4th one with the spots almost had me crying. I feel like she had her pups then was dumped and the ones that dumped her kept the pups. Her whole world was turned upside down and then a kind ,friendly stranger with a kind voice gave her some hope. Please Daniel, I know the dogs aren't your responsibility but they are God's creations too,so please follow some of the advices in the comments and help those dogs out. I'll call the spotted one Hope because I could see Hope in her eyes as you were petting and talking to her.

I would say start by getting a bag of dry food for the the dogs. Harming the dogs would probably cost you a lot of viewers, ask Lester. Calling the SPCA that another viewer suggested would be a good option.

That dog just seemed so happy to see you. She must miss humans. I’d be tempted to take her to one of your stalls, to see how she does. But of course that would make it harder to take her back out to the pond. I actually did take home 3 big dogs that the owner was bragging about taking them out to the creek bed and shooting them. So then I had 3 plus one at home and 5 cats.. and I never regretted it.

Awesome you’re able to get the local grocery stores to work with you and give you the old produce. When we had sheep, goats, chickens, and turkeys 25 years ago, our local stores would do the same for us. Even old Christmas trees would be great-as the sheep liked to hide around them in the snow storms we’d get (even though they had perfect shelter to use). I agree Small Town America is wonderful! I lived and worked grocery for many years. We used to give out scrap and aged veggies and fruit to farm owners. Until..one time..not our store..the farm owner got his free scraps and fed to his prize pigs. Do you think the owner was smart enough to go through the boxes and he k for harmful things..NO. He just dumped the boxes and let them eat. Well if you know..there are wire ties and rubber bands on most items. Well the at least 1 pig ate a.wire tie and sued. That is why grocery stores stopped giving out leftovers. If you want that kinda atuff..go dumpster diving. Always 1 to ruin for others

We had 2 dogs tied to a utility pole on the road leaving out of our neighborhood last week. They were just left there with no food or water. I know times are hard for a lot of people, but this abandonment of animals is just uncalled for. It breaks my heart. I'm one of those crazy ladies driving around with a huge sack of dog food and water. That's all I can do for these poor babies. That sweet girl on your property looked so sad.

There are dog rescues in most areas, please don't just feed them and leave them tied up. Just search on the net for rescues in your area. If you are in Daniel's area, see the google link I provided. Animals are being abandoned all over the damn country by irresponsible people! Poor creatures!

Call best friends animal sanctuary. They will pick up. They are out here in Utah. But they have picked up remotely. They can also refer you to a nonprofit that is closer. Some rescues end up with a facility that trains them to become service animals. We used them out here for rescues from hoarders. As a fellow retired leo I recommend them.

You have a big enough platform to find homes for the other pups. As for this one? I’d keep her. See how she does around the goats and birds but Anatolian’s are great dogs. I know rescue isn’t what you wanted to do but I’ve been a haven for a few strays till I found them a forever home. It’s rewarding. ❤

I think he can’t be bothered. He’s too busy building his hunting channel. Look at Coghill farm unfortunately people dump animals on them all the time and they truly care about these animals and if they can’t keep them, they find them homes ,they would never just leave them or think about putting them down. I think it would be a great idea to help the dog and he could include it on his channel and gain more subscribers although I don’t think he cares because he’s already got plenty 😢

The way she was whining and wanted your contact, I'd say she was likely abandoned. If she was dangerous you wouldn't have been able to get close to her. I would add that it appeared she may have injured her leg that was she was favoring it. Me, I'd go back next day to see if she was still there. The warehouse/barndominium is looking great and can't wait to see it finished :)

First thing I'd do is see if you can get the dogs checked for micro chips. The vet would likely scan them for free. If they're chipped you may be able to find out who owns/dumped them. I wouldn't necessarily say that you should try to take all the dogs, but if anything I'd probably see about that one lone female. She definitely seemed sweet and not reactive toward you. Watching her when you first went up to her it seemed like she had a bit of trouble getting herself to get up. Like maybe she had a sore hip or something. I know you probably don't need/want another mouth to feed, but I think the female needs you at least for now until she can be re-homed. You might want to check into what animal rescues might be somewhat local to you. They could at least get her into foster care until she finds someone to adopt her.

If someone is dumping those dogs, there are folks who will get wind of it and will probably take them in. It’s super sad that anyone would do that. Consider reaching out to a nearby city to see if there’s an organization that would help you with these dogs.

I understand about improving your property, as I did the same with a home I bought in another state. I added a var garage, with an outside water faucet, changed windows on the house, Painted the inside & put in new style flooring & removed old carpeting. It was a huge improvement for me & future owners appreciate the changes I have made !!!

In answer to your question about the dogs, I agree with most everyone, about the female dog. I think she was meant to come to your home to be rescued. She was totally drawn to you. As for the others, if there is a way to contain them and I am sure that there would be a rescue willing to come get them. Use your social media and KZbin influence and following to help them find a safe haven til they get new homes.

Regarding your question why do geese honk more than others in a group? A goose uses honking so others within the flock recognize it. Each goose has a unique honking pattern, enabling them to maintain social bonds and locate specific flock members. This recognition through honking reinforces their sense of belonging and strengthens their cohesive group structure. Cohesive is a great example of task cohesion is the V-formation geese fly in. They fly in this formation because when the front goose flaps its wings he creates an updraft for the goose directly behind him, allowing them to use a lot less energy to fly.

I worked the closing shift at my local Kroger deli, it is unbelievable how much food that got thrown away, that was before Covid happened I left the store a year and a half before Covid. The amount of food that just got thrown away from the deli alone could’ve gone to a soup kitchen or some other place like that, but no they couldn’t do that, they were too worried about somebody getting sick and then being sued for it.

The merch building sounds perfect for resale later on, or for the boys as young adults getting out on their own (apt). It's wise to put in those extra apartment type rooms. If you ever sell it, the new buyer can put whatever they want in the bedrooms. You could even retire in that building. etc.

We have 3 dogs, 2 Boarder Collies and an Anatolian mix. All 3 were abandoned/dumped on our road. We decided to keep these 3 dogs but, there has been dozens and dozens of stray dogs and cats cross our property in the past couple of years. If we kept them all we'd be over run with dogs and cats. You can't save them all and if you live in a rural area like we do there are no services(ASPCA), animal control or rescues for at least 80 miles. I read some say he should have fed the dog but, if you feed them you might as well keep them cause they will never leave. Most people where we live wouldn't have thought twice about putting down stray dogs on their property. Before you judge farmers and ranchers save some judgement for the dirt bags who dump their unwanted animals, who don't spay or neuter their animals and expect others to take care of their mess. It's a bad situation and there are no easy answers and most of those answers don't end with rainbows and butterflies.

And I so hear you on property as an investment/retirement potential. I bought my 18 acres back in 2006. I played around with it until 2018, changing it from densely forested, to pastured with fences, driveways, water, electric, a barn, cross fenced and finally (2019) a house. The current market value of my place is 8-10x what I've put in to it. I could potentially sell now, move to a cheaper county and have no mortgage whatsoever and even have enough to live off of. (but the close I can get to paying off what I have now, the better off I'll be if I ever have to sell). Its a good feeling to have that safety net. Whether I ever sell or not.

We have a couple of organizations here in S.E. Michigan called Forgotten Harvest & Gleaners that benefit from grocery stores & restaurants that donate their leftover but very usable food. Wonderful program that feeds thousands of people & cuts down on food waste!

I think the female you just found by the pond does seem to be almost asking you for help, she seems like a very sweet dog, i think you may want to consider taking her to the vet and just get her checked out. Im thinking it is likely that those dogs were dumped off but i really do think this female needs to be a keeper. Usually when a dog is a talker (as I call it) they are very sweet.😊😊

Daniel, there is something about that dog that I fell in my spirit that she needs you. Such a well behaved dog obviously in need, is a perfect rescue. To find the dog owners in Tennessee, I could go to the county property tax website and get all the property owners information including billing addresses. I would mail them all old fashioned letters with pics. I live in an area where there is alot of property with no houses just rented farmland running cows. The only way to find owners is public tax info which includes maps showing property parcels. You might have that resource in your area.

Put a doggie door in at this property. One of those with a collar. Honestly I would get an air tag put a collar on it and see where they go. That’s the best way to find out if they have a home or if they are abandoned

Alone time is necessary to keep your head clear. Like you said, it’s just you and the man upstairs, you can clear your thoughts, pray, cry, laugh at your own jokes… nap under a tree by the creek! Thanks for sharing your love for what you do! I have the same passion for the great outdoors!

When I lived in Katy, Texas I used to go by the grocery store on the way home and pick up bad sea food then stop at the bayou and feed the gators from the bridge.

Daniel, you could even plow some of the land and maybe plant strawberries and have a come and pick your own strawberries

There are rescue's that will come catch those dogs and find them homes. Try calling the local shelter and ask them for some information. They usually work together to help the animals.

You could call the nearest humane society and tell them your concern. Maybe they could help.

I agree w keeping the spotted pooch that was by the water..❤❤ esp seeing how much bella meant to you. I think you need her..NOT to replace bella by all means, just to have her up by the house and to follow you around, lil more than bear 😊 She sure is sweet.
