Just a useful tip from a plasterer. Another alternative to using the mesh render beads (I know these can be awkward if brickwork is bad), would be to dot and dab plasterboard up the reveals and head of the opening. Overcutting the strips of board so they are flush with the existing plaster work. And then you use the edge of the plasterboard as an edge for the backing plaster. then you can just use skim beads when it comes to skimming it in.

Hi Jay Thankyou 😊 tbh I would of typically just dot and Dabbed board around the reveal like you said but sometimes for the video I do different things lol. I also wanted to use up the KRend I had left. I will bond the header though. But I will sand and cement the reveals just for video sake to show some diversity.

Hello. Thank you for video. I have tree entrances to the kitchen and I want to block one of them, external. My problem is not how brick it up, but what premissions do I need and who should I contact? I can brick up the doorway myself.

For my own knowledge can you tell me why you didn't tie the inner and outer skin together when you blocked up the doorway? Or did you and its just not visible on the video? Thanks
