You guys should totally do her song “jealousy, jealousy” off of Sour, paired with “making the bed” off of Guts. They tie really well together and show a really interesting progression and growing maturity. Also, two songs that go SO well together that I’d love for you to do in a video together are Olivia’s “hope ur ok” from Sour and Taylor’s song “seven” from Folklore. They have super similar themes and both have to do with friendships they had as kids that they reflect on as adults. They’re both so sentimental and sweet and it’s crazy how alike the two songs are, while each having they’re own textbookTaylorism’s or Oliviaism’s.

Theres a murder mystery, a lesbian love triangle, female rage, a song about struggling with sobriety, a song about the suicide of a close friend, the song about the suicide attempt/overdose of a close friend, songs about moving away from home, one about moving back into your childhood home, a couple songs about growing up around domestic violence, a song about the trauma you endured as a child growing up with an alcoholic abusive father, a few about just growing up, some about growing up with homophobic parents. Theres even one about cowboys, and another one about kanye west. But yes, lots of teen angst too lol. Who doesn't love a good grunge angsty song?

Taylor, Olivia, Billie, Sabrina and many many others… their popularity speaks to women about heartbreak. I really think it’s cultural commentary on how people’s mental health is just getting worse and worse. So many women can relate to men being manipulators and gaslighters and just straight out going through emotional abuse. There’s something going and I know things have always been this way but I suspect things are just getting worse and worse. I’m grateful women have an outlet and this kind of music now to help them process their emotions, not everyone can afford therapy or have other outlets that help them heal.

A really incredible song you probably haven't heard before (from someone you probably haven't even heard of) is Prodigal by Unions. It's exactly the kind of thing you'd love, and it's disappointing that they have so few song, because it's great. Sideways, ghost, Hurricane, and All the Same by MisterWives, also a strong set of recommendations. Great band.

Okay so I have a very strong affinity for sad lady music. Here are songs that will break you emotionally: Simmer -- Hayley Williams (she's from Paramore), Bright Lights and Cityscapes -- Sara Bareilles, Anyone -- Demi Lovato (the live version from the Grammys), Silver Springs -- Fleetwood Mac (this is part of a very public divorce(ish) where two people in a band wrote very angry breakup songs that the other would have to sing with them A+ no notes), What Sarah Said -- Deathcab for Cutie, Motion Sickness or I Know the End -- Phoebe Bridgers. And then if you want to test the limits of your emotions, you can go all out with a pair of songs by Sun Kil Moon (Love My Dad and Can't Live Without My Mother's Love). Best of luck to you guys!

But never showing her writing the songs and coming up with lyrics. She has a nice voice but I don’t know if she actually writes her own stuff.
