You've talked about everything that I'm feeling right now as a full time music producer and income's not stable, have to do really bad projects just for the sake of money and so on. I started my music journey around 20 years ago played as a part of few live bands and struggled for a long time as an instrumentalist and was almost broke... I finally started doing a job that I'm still doing to support my musical journey and invested slowly in my home studio setup and i collected an ipad, a midi keyboard, a condenser mic and a dynamic mic and an i rig audio interface and have collected many instruments percussions and what not... Have a decent work experience in composing for theater background and background music for short videos... Though i still lacking contacts and planning to shift to a full time music carrer... I'm 41 now and married with a kid and still feel strongly that no matter what I'll never give up.. darshit bhai i am seriously looking forward to meet you and have a good chat.. i am a gujju from delhi NCR and often visit ahmedabad to meet my relatives.. One of the best example is of K-pop. There the idols come from Rich families, many of them are millionaire's childrens. They have to go through rigorous training system since very young age under an Entertainment agency, where they become trainee. Even under their trainee years they have to follow various rules and etiquettes failing to do which one can get suspended or even humiliated publically and that goes even after they debut. But the good part of the training is u don't have to pay a dime, all the money is invested upon u to groom ur talent until u become an idol. But the catch, after u debut much % of money that was invested upon u, u will have to pay back through u the money u earn much portion of it goes to the label and close to none or very less is left for u. That's why these idols or celebrities come from very rich families, so that even if u earn no money from ur career, they r there to support u. In short, K-pop idol toh sirf external dikhawa hai. Waha sirf Fame aur Following milti hai, paise nahi. Aur jo woh milta hai uska toh sabko pata hai ki kya hota hai life mein.... One of the best example is superstar group BTS. They arguably are the greatest thing that have come out of K-pop or even Boyband in general. Now Look at what they are earning individually. Sure they r millionaires, but their company is making billions out of them each year. Their company owner Bang Si Hyuk is one of the richest man in Korea and one of richest in music business. Before BTS his company was broke. Point is how labels churn out of artists every single bit and we can see it in West too. Aur humare yaha ki toh bat hi chodo, Music industry naam ki cheez aur concept hi nahi hai. Even Film industry is not industry, it's just run by a couple of people.
