The problem is people don't scale the MCU properly. I've seen Thanos be low balled to Moon level with Hypersonic speed. And the Infinity Stones are only Planetary which is ridiculous to argue. Thor has casually kept up with Captain Marvel and statued the Bifrost which was calced at over 3 trillion x FTL. Odin confirmed Thor was stronger than him. The same odin who casually created 22 stars. Not to mention Thor tanked reality stone blasts and Hela called the Space Stone "not bad" compared to her own power. Each stones is stated to have Universal power. The same Universe that Wong calls a Metaphysical reality btw. And Thanos is stronger then them in base. The Gauntlet is over kill considering it scales to 5D to potential 11D beings if you want to take the Dormammu statements at face value. Pre Disney Vader might have a chance but it's small. Movie Vader is absolutely cooked though.

I could see arguments from both sides, I think what it mainly comes down to is the fact that most people don't scale MCU Thanos that high, and to be fair, they don't go off of the lore or they don't bring up some of the statements from the writers, do keep in mind that many people who scale MCU Thanos when they go off of actual fees shown in the, I think some of they tie in comics, but they don't really bring or look into what the story seems to establish about it, if we go off of that, though it makes this fight a lot more fair for movie Vader

A lightsaber works by turning energy of a kyper crystal into plasma. Exploiting E=MC^2. If a lightsaber has a kilogram of plasma in the blade, its releasing 10^16 joules just turning that on. Well yeah, MCU Thanos is so severely nerfed in both power and intelligence that he’s handily defeated by a telegraphing his throw Thor and using the ENTIRE INFINITY GAUNTLET to stop the axe coming his way (a feat accomplished in the original comic with the time gem alone) that it still pushed its way through to deliver a near fatal blow. Does that sound like a being wielding the power of existence itself? My whole thing is the force can’t be overpowered by brute strength. It’s never been shown for someone to move while being held in a force hold unless they also use the force. I mean thanos has to breath, and Vader could just instant choke him out. If kylo can completely immobilize someone Vader definitely could too since he’s like 5x more powerful than kylo lol. The force is from another universe so there’s no guarantee the stones would do anything to manipulate the force, as the stones only work in their host universe. Even in the comics the glove and stones were destroyed when the Illuminati attempted to prevent an incursion using them, due to the nature of an incursion being the merging of two universes. Thanos is significantly more powerful than Vader, but the force against non force users is like hacks. Vader may not be as fast, strong, skilled, or as smart as thanos, but he could one shot him or immobilize him completely from even being able to snap his fingers. It would require Vader to go instantly for the kill, which I feel like he does a lot.
